Xiaomi launches the cheapest Smart TVs with 4K screens at 120 Hz

Xiaomi continues to bet on launching affordable models of smart TVs. After announcing the global launch of the 55-inch Q1E , its second QLED Smart TV , the company has now announced the two cheapest Smart TVs on the market with 4K 120 Hz panels : the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 range .

120 Hz is something that we see more and more in high-end televisions, such as OLEDs or Samsung QLEDs with local dimming . These panels offer an ideal user experience for high-end computers and next-generation consoles. In fact, the TVs have received the official recommendation from Xbox in China, where they were launched first.

Two HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision

Redmi Smart TVs come in 55- and 65-inch sizes. Each one has two HDMI 2.1 ports with support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) through AMD FreeSync Premium, synchronizing the frames with the console or PC, in addition to HDR. In connectivity we also have another HDMI 2.0 port, two USB ports, Ethernet, WiFi 5, AV and optical. They also have Auto Low Latency Mode to have the minimum possible input lag. In this model, we found only 4 ms of lag.

Both models are compatible with Dolby Vision , and reproduce 94% of the DCI-P3 color space , with a delta E around 2. Both models have MIUI 3.0 , which runs on Android TV. They integrate a MediaTek quad-core ARM Cortex-73 processor, accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.

At the sound level, we have two speakers of 12.5 W each, and they also support Dolby Atmos. It also has microphones to detect our voice from a distance. On a physical level, we have a chassis made of aluminum to give it quality without the weight going off.

From 365 euros for the 55-inch

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 will be on sale in China from October 31. The price is 2,699 yuan for the 55-inch TV model, about 363 euros to change. The 65-inch costs 3,499 yuan, about 470 euros to change . After the sale promotion, prices will rise to 2,999 yuan (403 euros) and 3,999 yuan (538 euros), respectively.

As is often the case with these launches, Xiaomi has not announced a date for the international arrival of these models, but it would not be strange if they decided to take them to more countries. If, for example, they decide to take them to India, it will be much easier for them to reach the rest of the world, since at the hardware level the televisions would be identical because in India the DVB-T standard is also used for DTT.
