The Opening of the Camera, the Key to the iPhone 13 Pro Max

Many of Apple‘s customers got upset with the brand by “forcing” them to check out and buy the largest and most expensive model to take advantage of all the camera’s features. For example, only the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a new “sensor shift” stabilization system, for photos in low light conditions. Many people expected this tool to be on the iPhone 12 Pro as well, but Apple kept it exclusive for the Pro Max.

We don’t expect any major improvements to the cameras on the back of the iPhone 13 but Ming-Chi Kuo, the famous Cupertino analyst, says there will be a lens with a wider aperture on the larger model. Apparently the iPhone 13 Pro Max will have, again, an exclusivity in the form of an aperture f / 1.5 for the wide-angle lens, while all other iPhone 13 models will have a similar wide-angle lens with f / 1.6 to the iPhone 12 series. It is a minimal change but one that once again puts the most expensive of the models above the rest.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max, not only with more screen

A less “f” number means a larger lens aperture. Therefore, it determines how much light passes through it to the sensor. The lower the number, the more light. This can be compared to the pupils of your eye: when you are in a dark place, the pupils are enlarged, so more light can enter and see clearly. In bright light, your pupils shrink. Aperture is also about depth of field: a small aperture gives more depth of field, focusing better on one object, while the rest is blurry.

According to Kuo, the entire iPhone 13 line will have a number of aspects in common in its camera. It is said that all the wide-angle sensors of the iPhone 13, although they have different apertures , will work with a stack of 7P lenses. These are likely to be manufactured by Chinese manufacturer Sunny Optica, who is working on final quality verification tests for the components with a view to starting production shortly. The first 7P wide-angle lenses for the iPhone 13 series could begin to be manufactured in the second quarter of 2021 with a view to a launch, this time, in September of this year.
