New Update to Apple Watch and Apple TV with Big Sur beta

New Update to Apple Watch and Apple TV

We are just a few days away from the presentation event of the new Macs with Apple Silicon, so it seems that the new macOS Big Sur will also soon be available to users. Taking advantage of this situation, the company has already launched the RC version of it, as well as new updates for the Apple Watch and Apple TV. Below we will tell you everything about these versions.

macOS Big Sur is now imminent

Last week Apple changed the name of the Golden Master, popularly known by its initials GM and which referred to the final version of the betas of its operating systems. These betas really coincided in good part with the official versions that days later were released to the public, many times even having the same code and build number. However now he calls them Release Candidate (RC), being almost the same for all practical purposes. Well, the RC version of macOS Big Sur is ready.

Something remarkable is that the version that is currently in RC is 11.0.1 instead of 11.0, which is the one that would correspond. This could be due to a method of hiding information by Apple so that developers and users do not discover ahead of time any clue about the new equipment that it will present on Tuesday. Be that as it may, and as we indicated previously, it is expected that this great software update for compatible Mac computers could be launched even on Tuesday.

macOS 10.15.7 was also released

Although the previous update reached only the developers, the public received the latest version of macOS Catalina with the aim of making this version ready and ending it after a year of updates. Although there are a majority of computers that will update from this to Big Sur, the truth is that there are others that will already stay with this as the latest version of the system, so it was convenient for them to have the latest performance improvements.

watchOS 7.1 and tvOS 14.2 arrive alongside HomePod 14.2

The Apple Watch also received a new update yesterday, specifically 7.1. This new version brings little visual novelties, if not any. It is mainly focused on solving problems registered in previous versions, especially in the Series 3. The general performance improvement is present and the battery management has been further improved so that it is already fully optimized and users do not notice the great difference that was noticed initially with respect to watchOS 6.

The tvOS version 14.2 hardly brings any news to Apple TV beyond those related to version 14.2 of the HomePod, which makes precisely this device better integrate with Apple TV 4K. Beyond that, we also have bug fixes and performance improvements here that were not in high demand either, since the previous versions were already highly optimized.
