Several weeks ago we learned that Apple was asking app developers to include privacy data on their respective pages of the App Store. Now it has been possible to know a date in which it will already have to be implemented. We tell you all about this new feature below.
New privacy information when downloading apps
The Google Play Store years ago implemented a series of requirements for developers to inform users about the data their apps collect. Now it is Apple who joins it and from December 8 they will have to have uploaded tags that indicate what they can access: location, microphone, camera and even payment data if they include in-app purchases.

All this, far from being a minor measure, means greater security for the user, since they will be able to know in advance what the applications will require during their use. Although the permissions will still be present when using the app, being able to deny or accept them, at least one of them will already know what they are exposed to. It should be noted that this will also come to the iPad and Mac , in this case not being an exception for the iPhone.

Developers have known about this new App Store regulation for months and now, knowing the date they have to add the information, it is expected that there will be no problems. It is not known with certainty if an iOS update will be needed for this, but if so, it would always be launched from that mentioned December 8.
In these months we have seen the Apple application store questioned by accusations of monopoly by different companies and estates, the most notorious being the one undertaken by the Fortnite developers, Epic Games. We understand that given the firmness of the Californian company in this matter, those developers who do not comply could see their applications removed or blocked from the App Store.
If Apple has boasted of something in these years, it is the privacy of its devices. Although it is true that Android has advanced considerably in terms of security, the use of the iPhone is still considered safer. In fact we have seen numerous Apple campaigns in reference to it. However, this does not mean that vulnerabilities cannot be found, for which Apple Park software engineers always work with the aim of covering them as soon as possible with operating system updates.
