Marc Spector is the character behind the Moon Knight. After carving out a career as a great boxer, US Marine and mercenary, on one of his missions through Egypt with his partner “Frenchie” they both come across an archaeological excavation. Among the excavation team are Dr. Peter Alraune and his daughter Marlene, who will later become his beloved.
This excavation had uncovered an ancient temple replete with artifacts of the Egyptian god Khonshu . In an attempt to loot this excavation, Bushman kills Dr. Alraune. Spector challenges Bushman to a fight to avenge the death of the doctor, but he is defeated and left for dead . During the night, the Egyptians walking through the temple discover Spector and take him to their temple where the Khonshu brings him back to life and turns him into the Moon Knight .
Moon Knight is one of the lesser-known characters of users outside the world of Marvel comics and, in turn, one of the most fragile of their stories. Following a childhood trauma, Spector suffers from multiple personality disorder and creates two other personalities: Steven Grant and Jake Lockley . Later in the story of this superhero, Spector abandons the rest of his personalities and sells the statue of Khonshu to an art gallery as a symbol of his abandonment of the fight against crime .
