Finally Various Daylife goes Premium on iOS and Android!

Square-Enix is surely one of the absolute queens of the most classic RPG games. Those that began to be forged in the guts of the NES, evolved with the SNES and then fully exploded on the PlayStation and all its generations of consoles. And that on Nintendo Switch we have had to enjoy some other wonder made, by the way, by the same ones who launched this Various Daylife in 2019.

Various Daylife

a path of roses

The fact is that this Various Daylife came to Apple Arcade exclusively in September 2019, as one more game within the subscription that those from Cupertino have for their ecosystem of devices, although it later made the leap to Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation 4. Android was left out of what was a total exclusive that could only be enjoyed on iPhone or iPad.

But that has changed because Various Daylife has been released from the prison of Apple Arcade and it will no longer be necessary to have a subscription to be able to download it to our phone. Even in the case of Android, where it has arrived completely in a premium format –which they now call– and which means that to make it ours we will have to pay a number of euros for it. That is to say, it is not free2play .

As we mentioned before, this is a small wonder from Square-Enix made by the same people who developed the wonderful Bravely Default for 3DS and Octopath Traveler for Nintendo Switch, which have been successful on all the platforms they have touched. Anyway, do you know what we can expect from him?

Various Daylife.

Make your profession a game

Basically, this Various Life does not stray too far from the concept of the other studio games for 3DS and Switch and puts us in the shoes of a character who takes on the role of a profession of the many that it allows us to represent, within a kind of guild that has a mission that transcends the protagonists and that is different in each case. So we will have to hit the roads, be accompanied as we recruit new allies and fight all the enemies that attack us. That they will not be few.

It is precisely these combats that make this game special because they resort to an old Japanese custom in which they are complete masters: turns. In this way, we return to the old Square DNA of its titles from the 80s and 90s when the genre completely exploded, leaving us with some of the most remembered names of its career. Here we will have to choose attack, defense and wait for it to touch us again while we make our own decisions, and those of our allies.

In addition, the exploration system is really original because we will move our group in a permanent side scroll that will take us into the different lands that are part of the game. Of course, if you dare to buy it, you should know that, for a mobile launch, it is not cheap: 24.99 euros in both cases, both iOS/iPadOS and Android.
