EMUI 10.1: All the Hidden Functions that Huawei Did Not Explain

EMUI 10.1 is the latest version of Huawei‘s operating system. The new P40 family, with the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro Premium Edition at the helm, have the honor of having launched all the innovations of this new layer. However, there are many other terminals that are waiting to be updated, which will do so in the coming weeks and months. Now we can see more in detail those functions of EMUI 10.1 that will fill with novelties the Huawei and Honor mobiles.

Many of these functions, such as MeeTime or multi-device configuration, have already been announced by Huawei. However, once we can access the complete change of EMUI 10.1 changes, thanks to the informative message that appears prior to its update, we realize that the details go much further. Within this section, EMUI 10.1 adds several clear new features related to the fingerprint or the Always On Display function.

Footprint animation

Two fingerprint unlock animation options are added . They are activated from the Security menu. Once the footprint is configured, it allows you to select the preferred footprint animation.

Always On Display

One of the most popular features, now add a style option with a three-dimensional watch.

Multi-window

This option allows you to multitask in split screen mode and send messages using a floating window, while doing other tasks like watching video or playing games.

Multi-device options

These innovations will allow us to perform new functions when we use another device such as a Huawei laptop.

Answer calls

It allows answering voice calls and video calls in our terminal, from a Huawei laptop.

Editing files

The new function allows you to read and edit files that are on your mobile, directly from a Huawei laptop. It also allows us to share our mobile network and synchronize all notifications.

Multi-device control panel

New feature that makes connecting to other devices easier, using the Multi-Device Control Panel.

Navigation on multiple devices

This is a new multi-device navigation in the Gallery, which allows you to view, search and share photos and videos on any Huawei device (including phones, tablets or SmartTV) that have logged in with the HUAWEI ID, within the same network Home WLAN and with Bluetooth activated.
