Warzone 2.0: everything you need to know

Warzone 2.0: everything you need to know

We already know the release date for Warzone 2.0. It will be next November 16 when you should be ready to parachute once again, this time to the lands of Al-Mazrah, where many new features and new mechanics will await you that we are going to review right now.

Call of Duty’s free-to-play battle royale gets an update

Warzone 2.0

Warzone 2.0 will arrive with a new map based on the fictitious location of Al-Mazrah, an area located in the road part of the Republic of Adal and that will incorporate 18 points of interest where we will cross bullets with our opponents. Some of the areas are the Embassy, the Zarqwa Hydroelectric Plant, Sariff Bay, Al Bagra Fort and many others.

for your weapons

Warzone 2.0

There’s nothing like getting your favorite weapon to stroll around the Warzone map. Weapon Crates were highly coveted in Warzone, and now there will be plenty of ways to get them:

  • Stores : This is what the supply boxes are now called, and it will be there where you buy your weapons with money collected in the game.
  • Weapons Delivery Public Event : A package will descend from the skies with weapons, so run for it before a rival takes it from you.
  • Fortresses and Black Sites : These two new areas will hide weapons as loot to equip you to the top.
  • Buy main weapon: You can also buy only your main weapon from your loadout with collected money.

If you die, you leave your backpack

Now when you die you will leave your main weapon and your backpack with everything you had collected, so you can loot the backpacks of the bodies that you find along the way using the new loot menu.

New Gulaj

Warzone 2.0

The second opportunity will come in the form of a new friendship, since the Gulaj will face 2 vs 2 teams with random players who must collaborate to go out into battle again. However, there is a key element in the game: the jailer. This powerful character will speed things up and try to take down one of the four Gulaj players, but if all four players work together and take down the Jailer, they’ll all be back in the game. What are you going to do?

the bots arrive

Something that had been talked about previously is finally official . There will be bots within Warzone 2.0 , but we will find them only in specific areas: in the Strongholds and in the Black Sites . These zones will be clearly identified on the map, and in each game they will appear randomly.

If a team takes down the bots in a Stronghold, they will need to defuse a bomb to get a key to a Black Site and the Custom Gear (if you arrive after any team has completed the task, you will only get the Custom Gear).

Black Sites are the next level of difficulty from Strongholds, but the loot there will be a permanent Weapon blueprint and even more valuable items. The problem is that to get it you must have one of the keys. It’s going to be complicated.

Swim underwater and don’t talk

One of the new mechanics that arrive is the possibility of being able to swim underwater. It’s something we’ve seen in Modern Warfare II multiplayer and hoped to see in Warzone 2.0. Now we will also hear the opponents speak as they approach us, so if you go with a friend try not to talk too much because they will detect your presence. This proximity chat feature has been present in many PC games, and now it’s finally coming to Warzone.

Get information from the rival

Warzone 2.0

A very curious function is that when we play in squad mode, if we knock down a rival, we can interrogate them by shaking them to tell us the locations of the rest of the team members.

Looking for a gas station

Warzone 2.0

The vehicles in Warzone 2.0 now consume gasoline, and you will have to keep the fuel tank in mind if you do not want to be left lying in the middle of the map. The fuel tank can be refilled at the gas stations present throughout the map, where we can also fix the vehicle’s damage.

As you can see, Warzone 2.0 has included a large number of new features that will completely change the games without touching the essence of Battle Royale, however, if what you were looking for was something different and with more tension, wait until you see DMZ.

DMZ mode arrives

DMZ is a long-awaited new extraction mode where players must successfully complete quests, accept secondary objectives, and engage enemies or AI bots to search for and obtain valuable items that you can take with you on the exfiltration. Activision has not gone into too many details at the moment, but next week it will talk deeply about this new mode that will give a lot to talk about.
