The mobile gaming market has grown exponentially in recent years and after overcoming the year of the pandemic, more and more people use the smartphone to play. In this field Lenovo is an expert and takes its experience in the computer field to that of telephony. After the great Lenovo Legion Phone Duel, now its successor, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, is presented .
The smartphone improves everything seen in the previous generation and debuts a design focused 100% on gaming, with a division of the components throughout the design of the phone to avoid overheating and enhance horizontal use of the phone. Thus, for example, the mobile becomes the first on the market to have a system of fans that are added to a large steam chamber of 4730 mm. These fans are “super quiet”, with a maximum noise of 27 db and allow an improvement d performance of 30% compared to the original model.
The idea of all this is that the heat is concentrated in the middle of the phone, leaving the area on the sides free of high temperatures that can make the user uncomfortable when using the phone in landscape mode, as thought by Lenovo.
A mobile 100% focused on the game
At the top of the mobile is the Snapdragon 888 processor , improving the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel’s performance by 35% and its energy efficiency by 25%. This allows the mobile to benefit from the high speed of the 5G community and Wi-Fi 6 to reduce latency to 20 ms.
The mobile once again uses a dual battery technology that can be charged in two ways, as it has two USB Type C ports . In total, it offers a capacity of 5,500 mAh that can be charged at an incredible speed of 90W, reaching 82% charge in 17 minutes and 100% in half an hour. Depending on the brand, it is enough to play PUBG Mobile uninterruptedly for 7.3 hours. It has a Phalanx Battery Protection protection system to optimize the charging speed without putting the phone at risk.
Like a console controller, it has four top buttons (L1, L2, R1 and R2), adding trained panels at the rear, one on each side. All phone controls can be configured in more than 200 different ways to avoid unnecessary movements of our fingers and adapt them to our way of playing.
To this we add a Dual Haptix vibration system that reacts to what happens on the screen in just 5 ms.
More features of the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2
The mobile has a large AMOLED screen , reaching 6.92 inches and boasting a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It has FHD + resolution, is compatible with HDR 10+, has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1 , DC dimming, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits.
It has two front speakers that have been specially developed to offer the best listening experience while playing games and, of course, it supports Dolby Atmos to generate immersive sound. To this is added the presence of 4 microphones with noise cancellation assisted by AI to maintain our voice chats during the game.
Behind the phone logo can be illuminated showing different RGB effects in what has become a hallmark of the brand’s phones.
The front camera is specially designed for live broadcasting, allowing you to share your games on Twitch or other streaming services (which can be quickly accessed by pressing a button). It is a 44 MP Samsung GH1 + sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and an 84º angle of view. It has portrait mode, night mode, AI beautification, auto focus and the possibility of recording in 4K up to 240 fps.
