The photo camera is the most important component of our mobile phone, with it we can immortalize our day to day at any time, because we always carry an excellent camera that we would have wanted many years ago. And there is an even better way to get the most out of our Xiaomi‘s camera, with this interesting trick.

Modify the Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness of the Camera of a Xiaomi

Photography is also something personal, so much so that there are people who like to enjoy it from a more colorful perspective, others colder, and in general, always according to their personal tastes . Precisely on that personal side of photography we speak to you today.

Adjust contrast, saturation and sharpness from MIUI settings

The photo camera can do an excellent job, but if it does not represent the colors that surround you in a way that is true to reality or at least to what we perceive of it, all that good camera work goes to waste. So there are three key settings that can make a photo look completely different, such as contrast, saturation, and sharpness. These aspects can be adjusted to our liking from the very settings of our Xiaomi mobile, without having to open the camera.

These characteristics can be found thanks to the experimental functions of the Xiaomi camera app. That we can easily activate in the following way:

  • Enter the file manager
  • Enter the DCIM / Camera folder
  • Create a folder named Lab_options_visible
  • Open the camera app
  • Enter the settings

Now the experimental functions will be available, and we will be able to access these settings that we referred to from the beginning.

How to control these settings to our liking?

Well once we have activated these experimental functions we can access those settings without having to open the camera . To do this, do the following:

  • Enter the settings of your Xiaomi in MIUI
  • Access “system applications”
  • Click on “camera”

Now a message of ” experimental options ” will appear at the bottom warning that we have entered this modality. Near the end of the list of options, we find those of Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness. By clicking on each one we can choose up to seven different settings to adapt it to our tastes. As they are Very Low, Lowest, Low, Normal, High, Highest and Highest . In this way we can choose whether the photos we take come out with more color, giving priority to the contrast, and well in more detail, all in a unique mix that we can choose from these experimental settings.
