To avoid this, networks like Twitter introduced the ‘starred tweet’ years ago. Basically, it’s a tweet that defines your account. Suppose you are an expert car influencer , but a user comes to your profile during an important match of the Spanish National Team in which you are commenting to the fullest, because it is being exciting. Well, in this example, that user will see as the first tweet that you posted and that demonstrates your knowledge of the sector, instead of receiving as the first impact a tweet in which you laughed at Morata’s poor aim.
TikTok has functionality similar to the one we just discussed. And as usual on Instagram, any news from TikTok ends up being copied by Instagram sooner or later . Starting this week, Instagram users will be able to pin a total of 3 posts to the top of their timeline.
How to Pin Posts on Instagram
This new implementation of Instagram does not have too many limitations . You can pin a photo, a photo stream, a video , a video stream , or even a Reel . The ideal would be to make a combination of three elements that is perfect, that defines your personality and your way of creating content, so that you can very well convey your philosophy to your potential followers.
The feature has been in beta since early 2022, though this is when it reaches all users. To activate this feature, go to one of your posts and tap the three dots icon in the top right corner of the screen. Then, select ‘ pin ‘ from the dropdown menu. You can do this process up to three times, and this feature complements the bubble-shaped highlights that were so successful a few years ago.
