And that, of course, with its new high-end range it will continue to be for at least the next few months. HarmonyOS is an operating system with which the firm intends to replace Android on all its devices. In addition, this system will allow its different devices to connect to form a ” super device “, since it will function as a file system, with the aim of bridging the current gap in connectivity between different devices.

Therefore, it will allow users to combine different devices to form a large one on the mobile that controls everyone, creating a clear and easy-to-see map of each trusted terminal that we can connect to the phone. This is complemented by the Smart Home options of the operating system. Additionally, the company claims that the latest versions of Harmony have improved up to a 25.7% improvement in response latency and a 55.6% improvement in latency jitter.

The Huawei P50 will feature a 6.5-inch FULL HD + OLED panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate along with 300 Hz, 458 pixels per inch touch sampling. This new terminal from the Asian brand has dimensions of 156.5 x 73.8 x 7.92 mm and a weight of 181 grams. And its notch is focused again for this occasion, in it is its 13 megapixel selfie camera. It will also have a finger sensor under its screen.

As for its photographic section, it comes equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with f / 1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle with f / 2.2 aperture and, finally, a 12-megapixel f / 3.4 telephoto lens, with OIS and, 5x optical and 50x digital zoom. For video recording, the Chinese firm continues to have stabilization by artificial intelligence, both in this model and in the Pro version. The same happens with 4K recording and XD Fusion Pro technology.

And under its hood, we find that it comes with a Snapdragon 888 processor that will give you 4G connectivity. To power this terminal, a 4,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charge will be enough. In addition, it will be available in at least two variants, 8GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage and another 8GB + 256GB version. As for its connections, it has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB C 3.1, NCF and GPS. And we cannot forget that you will enjoy IP68 protection against water and dust.

All about the P50 Pro

The Huawei P50 Pro will come with a 6.6-inch curved FULL HD + OLED screen that also has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In this same section, it should be mentioned that it will integrate 450 pixels per inch, in addition to a touch sampling of 300 Hz. As for its processor, it will have two versions: one will have Snapdragon 888 4G and another with Kirin 9000 4G. And if you look at its dimensions, it exceeds the standard version in height, thickness and weight, but not in width. This terminal has 158.8 x 72.8 x 8.5 mm and 195 grams.

In addition, it also increases the total capacity of its battery, as this model has 4360 mAh with up to 66W of fast charging . However, unlike the standard model, you will have the option to wirelessly charge the phone up to 50W. Regarding its connections, it shares the same characteristics of the lowest model in the series: 4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB C 3.1, NCF and GPS.

We can also highlight that it will integrate a fingerprint scanner under its screen and a notch, which is centered again, to house its 13 megapixel selfie camera. On the back, we can look at its quad camera . The main sensor is 50 megapixels with f / 1.8 aperture and a 64 megapixel periscope telephoto camera with f / 3.5 aperture with OIS. In addition, it has 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. All this accompanied by another 40-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f / 1.6 aperture and a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 aperture.

And best of all, it is equipped with the XD Fusion Pro system, which manages to increase the amount of light input by 103% compared to the P40 Pro. This also improves the image quality when counting with poor lighting. And of course, to improve this series, we will have IP68 protection against water and dust. Finally, it will have 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage.

Prices for the new P50 series

At the moment this new Huawei smartphone has been presented in China and, for now, since the signing they have not confirmed its possible arrival date in our country. The prices that we will show you are the original ones, but we will leave you what their prices will be in exchange for euros.
