Garmin Approach S42 and S12: Smart Watches for Golfers

Not one but two, Garmin has introduced two new smartwatches for golfers. Yes, a very particular approach, but for which there seems to be a lot of interest. And it is that thanks to these new Approach S42 and S12 users who bet on them will have a much more precise tool with which they can improve their performance. Or, at least, that’s the idea behind each of them.

A smartwacth for golf players

In recent years we have been seeing how smart watches and even activity bracelets have been sneaking into our day to day and many users use these products. Thanks to them, physical activities such as walking, running, swimming and even riding an elliptical can be quantified.

With the inclusion of new improvements at the hardware level such as the use of more sensors , these devices not only allow these activities to be recorded but have also included some new, much more specific ones. One of them is Golf.

Smart Watches for Golfers

Within this sector of devices designed for golf players are Garmin products and now, to be more exact, the brand has launched three new proposals that will be adapted to the needs of each user according to their level as a player.

With these three new Garmin smartwatches, users will be able to enjoy a series of common features such as information on more than 42,000 golf courses around the world, a preview to help you play and a series of extras such as a score card so you can have a point of competition by being able to share your game.

Although it is not the only thing, despite the differences between each one, an interesting feature is that the distance of each shot can be recorded thanks to the use of the integrated GPS and that data recorded for more than 42,000 courses spread around the world.

Garmin Approach S42

The Garmin S42 is one of them, a smartwatch with GPS capable of controlling where the ball falls when hitting them thanks to the use of the AutoShot detection function and that record for more than 42,000 fields.

With a touch screen and a circular design, this smartwatch seems to be a proposal that would fit very well with the style of many golfers. But the most interesting thing is that even if the design does not appeal to you, its functionalities so specific to the Golf player may be more than enough reason not to opt for other proposals. And it is that being able to know the field where you play from your own wrist is futuristic.

With a battery that would last about 15 hours when using GPS and up to 10 days when used as a smartwatch only, the price of this watch is 299.99 euros.
