EMUI 10.1: List of Huawei Phones that Will Not Be Updated

When a manufacturer releases a new operating system update, it can be confusing to know when and to which devices it will arrive. Although Huawei is immersed in the EMUI 11 update for many of its terminals, there are still several models that have not received EMUI 10.1 while users are still waiting for the notification that advises of its availability.

EMUI 10.1

It was at the end of 2019 when Huawei announced EMUI 10 based on Android 10. Since then, a good number of terminals of the Chinese firm have been updated. However, since then, far fewer have received EMUI 10.1. This version integrates interesting new features such as the Always On Display functions , at an aesthetic or security level. Other new features such as Multi-Window are also integrated or performance is improved. According to Huawei’s data, EMUI 10.1 reduces system response time by 20.8% and average latency fluctuation by 10.5%, compared to the previous version.

EMUI 10.1 Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Highly anticipated on some models

Terminals appear on the list, the update of which users continue to ask in specialized forums. The Huawei P Smart 2019 is one of the firm’s best-selling mobiles, along with others such as the P30 Lite or the P20 of 2018. All these terminals have plenty of features to be able to receive EMUI 10.1 , but everything indicates that it will not be So. It is likely that limitations in terms of software resources, make sacrificing some updates, at least globally, of these devices.

This does not mean that these terminals do not continue to receive updates, as they will have the relevant security patches or even intermediate updates that can improve performance. We have seen an example in the P20 and P20 Pro, receiving a patch that, without being EMUI 10.1, has improved the general stability of both devices.
