For free online vocal pitch correction, BandLab’s basic AutoPitch features are a useful starting point. Other browser studios offer tuning tools, but a free account does not always include them. Also, changing a voice’s pitch is different from correcting sung notes to a musical key.

People often search for “autotune online free” when they mean any tuning effect. Auto-Tune is also a branded product range. A browser voice changer does not give you a license for Auto-Tune Pro, Artist, Access, or EFX+.
Four browser options: what is actually free?
| Tool | What it does | Free-use limit to check |
|---|---|---|
| BandLab AutoPitch | Vocal tuning and selected voice effects in a browser studio | Basic/free effects are available; some effects require Membership |
| Soundation Vocal Tuner | Note-aware pitch correction with key, scale, and effect controls | Check current feature and export access before recording a full project |
| Soundtrap Vocal Tuner | Standard or realtime vocal tuning | The tuner requires a paid plan; it is not included just because an account is free |
| Voice Maker | Pitch shifting and creative voice effects | A simple effects option, not a replacement for note-aware pitch correction |
1. BandLab AutoPitch: start with a short vocal test
- Open BandLab and create a voice/audio track in its Studio.
- Choose the correct microphone and allow microphone access if asked.
- Record a short, clear vocal clip using headphones to avoid speaker feedback.
- Open AutoPitch and choose the song’s key and scale, where those controls are available.
- Try a free effect and adjust the strength while listening to the result.
- Check the export options and keep a copy of the untreated recording.
BandLab’s AutoPitch instructions explain the setup. Its current FAQ distinguishes free effects from Membership-only options. Do not assume every preset shown in the app is free.
2. Soundation: check the Vocal Tuner controls
Soundation’s Vocal Tuner uses a root note and scale to guide correction. Its amount and glide controls affect the strength and character of the result. A wrong key can pull a reasonable performance toward the wrong notes.
The site offers free sign-up, but that wording alone does not confirm that every effect and export option is included in the free plan. Test the feature you need before building a long project.
3. Soundtrap: the free-account catch
Soundtrap’s Vocal Tuner help page says Standard Vocal Tuner is on paid plans, while Realtime Vocal Tuner requires particular higher plans. Check the current plan names and terms. A trial is different from a permanently free tuning tool.
4. Voice Maker: fun effects rather than automatic tuning
Voice Maker can record or load a clip and apply effects such as Pitch Shift. Raising or lowering the whole voice can sound funny or dramatic, but it does not identify which sung notes should fit a song.
Get a cleaner result and protect your recording
- Record in a quiet space and avoid clipping or a distorted microphone level.
- Use the correct musical key and compare the processed result with the original.
- Try a short sample before uploading private recordings or paying for a plan.
- Read the service’s storage and privacy terms; a browser tool is not necessarily offline.
