Updated October 18, 2026: Replaced the dated Redmi Note 12 Pro+, Pixel 7 and Reno 8 buying list with current officially documented options and support checks.
If you are replacing a Galaxy A52, compare what you need to improve before paying for a new phone: battery condition, software support, camera behavior, storage and local network compatibility. Three current options worth comparing are Samsung‘s Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, and Google’s Pixel 10a.

This is a specification-and-support comparison, not a claim that we have performed new side-by-side camera or battery tests. Prices, storage options and availability differ by country.
Three starting points
| Phone | Why include it | Check before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A57 5G | A current Galaxy A-series option for someone who wants to remain with One UI and Samsung’s transfer tools. | Compare the exact local model, storage, size and total price with the less expensive A37. |
| Galaxy A37 5G | A second Samsung option when price and familiar software matter more than automatically choosing the higher tier. | Check the differences that affect your own use rather than assuming the model number guarantees better value. |
| Pixel 10a | An alternative for buyers who want Google’s software approach and its documented update commitment. | Check carrier support, regional features and whether you are comfortable switching from Samsung’s apps. |
Compare support as well as specifications
Samsung’s A57/A37 announcement describes up to six generations of OS/One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. Google advertises seven years of updates for Pixel 10a. Those are manufacturer commitments subject to their terms, not seven or six fresh years starting whenever a used phone changes hands.
Check the support schedule for your exact A52 variant too. An A52, A52 5G and A52s are different products. If the only problem is an aging battery, compare an authorized repair quote with the cost and remaining useful life of a replacement.
Check the features you would miss
- Confirm whether your chosen phone has the storage expansion, headphone connection, SIM/eSIM arrangement and charging accessories you use.
- Check the display size and weight in person if possible. An upgrade that is uncomfortable to carry is not automatically a better fit.
- For cameras, compare representative independent tests or your own trial rather than ranking phones by megapixels alone.
- For imports or refurbished stock, verify the model number, network bands, warranty, return terms and battery condition.
Make the switch without losing access
Back up photos and messages, check authenticator and banking-app transfer procedures, and keep the old phone until the new one works with your accounts and SIM. Compare the full purchase cost, including any required charger or accessories, rather than an old headline sale price. Once your data is safe, Theme Park can customize a supported Galaxy. Recheck paired wearable apps after moving phones; Amazfit owners can use the sleep-tracking checklist to distinguish watch settings from synchronization problems.
If an existing order is wrong, check whether cancellation was actually confirmed before placing a replacement order.
