Wifi is not an aspect in which we pay too much attention when we buy a mobile, but the reality is that it is becoming more and more important. And now the Xiaomi Mi 11 has shown that it has one of the fastest Wifi connectivities on the market, thanks to a comparison published now by the Chinese firm against the iPhone 12 Pro Max and that it will not make it easy for any of its rivals such as the Galaxy S20 FE.
Wifi connectivity is increasingly important, because more and more different streaming services use it to offer us a satisfactory experience, even when we play, with platforms like Stadia, which need Wifi connections of several hundred megabytes per second.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 demonstrates Wifi muscle
The first thing to say is that we are looking at a video created by Xiaomi itself, so we must give fair credit to the results that appear in it. But what the Chinese firm wants to demonstrate with it is that its new top of the range has one of the fastest Wi-Fi connectivity on the market, something that it shows in turn with one of its latest routers, capable of also offering spectacular connection speeds even with hundreds of connected devices. In the video published by Xiaomi, both the Xiaomi Mi 11 and the iPhone 12 Pro Max are shown in an American Football stadium.
In the center of this is the AX6000 router with Wifi 6E , recently presented by Xiaomi, and at each end, at the same distance, are both phones. In the video you can clearly see the speed results of both phones. And it is shown that in this case the Xiaomi has a connection speed well above that of the iPhone. Since 114 meters away from the router, the Xiaomi Mi 11 reaches speeds of 659Mbps , while the iPhone 12 Pro Max stays at 358Mbps . On the other hand, at 161 meters the connection speed on the Chinese mobile rises up to 511 Mbps, while the Californian model reaches 241 Mbps.
Logically we are facing a test that is not independent, and that as usual could use some factors to benefit Xiaomi. But the reality is that the latest top of the range of the Chinese behaves much better than that of Apple when connecting with this router, obtaining a higher speed. Something that in certain streaming services could be noticed a lot. However, it must be remembered that this type of tests are carried out in environments that are rarely found in our homes, and with hardware that at least today is not available to many users.
