If you are a lover of realistic simulators in the App Store we have a wide range of options such as aircraft or vehicles. But here it is not the thing, since we can also find a simulator of naval battles of warships, simulating the battles that occurred in World War II. In this article we discuss Bliz’s World of Warships gaming experience.
Available nations and their ships
World War Ship stands out for being a free-to-play game for which you do not need to pay a euro to pay, although if you want to advance much faster you can pay to have the most advanced ships. As we have previously said, this game is focused mainly on World War II and the setting in regards to ships is perfectly done.

At the beginning we can choose one of the leading nations in the naval wars and each obviously has a different type of ship. We can choose between the USA, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, the USSR, Panasia and France. When choosing each of the nations, we see a small description of what stands out in each of the countries. To be clear, this is the initial choice description:
- USA: This nation has four types of ships. Its ships are characterized by their versatility. They stand out against air attacks thanks to reliable armor and their high rate of fire.
- Japan: These original ships boast speed and powerful weaponry rather than thick armor. Their destroyers and cruisers are ideal if you like powerful long-range torpedoes.
- Germany: German ships stand out for their armor and penetration. Their battleships can take a lot of damage while taking key positions. Their cruisers have efficient AP torpedoes and shells.
- United Kingdom: British light cruisers combine destroyer and cruiser traits. They are better for cunning tactics than duels. They have a high rate of fire and long-range torpedoes.
- USSR: The Russian empire and the USSR are represented by destroyers and cruisers. Its great ballistics, good speed and precision are priceless in battle. They are offensive and reckless.
- Panasia: Pan-Asian destroyers differ from those of other nations in their powerful low-water torpedoes with low detectability. Although not effective against destroyers, they can hit deep draft ships.
- France: French cruisers are famous for their effective artillery, fairly high speed, and long-range torpedoes.

Controls and graphics
Controlling the boat is extremely simple, but we must take into account what we are controlling. Obviously a small and light cruiser can move with much more ‘freedom’, accelerating faster but in exchange we will have to sacrifice resistance. On the contrary, when we choose a fairly heavy ship we have a greater resistance to projectiles but we will have a lower speed and it will cost considerably less to accelerate. In the physics of this game we see how they have tried to polish every detail, something that has also been achieved with the quality of the water since being in a maritime scenario it is logical to have enough water around us and this is extremely well done.
The controls are extremely simple, having an accelerator to power the engines little by little. The turn can also be done with a touch control to turn the rudder of the boat. On the issue of weapons we see how everything will depend on the ship we have since everything changes depending on the nation we choose although the aiming is also done by moving the finger. Once we are targeting the enemy ship in the lower right corner we have the option to shoot as well as some primatics to zoom in on the target.
But just as we can attack, the enemies will also try to sink us by causing fires on the ship, something that we can solve with the limited tool kit and fire extinguishers. In the end what it is about is to recover the life of the ship so that they do not sink us after a battle.

Progression
Although at the beginning we must choose a nation as the game progresses we can choose between multiple options. This is where the progression comes in since as we play we can improve the boats we have at our disposal. At the beginning we will have a level I cruise and with an armament that can be very little offensive, but as we play and win battles we will be able to improve the ship going from cruisers to destroyers or other types of ships. To this we must add that we can customize as we want by adding stickers or changing the color.
To this we must also add the technological tree that opens many possibilities to discover new weapons to implement them. This means that we have a lot of content ahead of us to enjoy this game and the number of hours that await us.
Type of games
At the beginning of the game, we will have to carry out some games against artificial intelligence accompanied by other people. A good thing that World of Warship has is that we can play against real people and accompanied by our friends as they pass the initial levels. This causes the competitive streak that we all have within us to awaken within us, being able to face people from all over the world.

Compatible Devices
Unfortunately this game is not compatible with all Apple devices. They have had to do a great job when it comes to porting a game that is intended for the computer to an iPad or iPhone. Plus, its realistic graphics means a powerful enough processor is needed to power the game. This is why the list of compatible equipment are as follows:
- iPhone SE (original and 2020).
- iPhone 6s and higher.
- iPad Mini 4 and higher.
- iPad Air 2 and higher.
- iPad Pro.
