Suddenly, an ISO image of this new operating system began to circulate on the network. And thanks to her we have been able to know many of the details and the news that the new OS has prepared for us. Although there are still hidden surprises in it.
Microsoft will officially present its new operating system this week, specifically on the 24th at 5:00 p.m. Spanish time . From then on, the safest thing is that we will see a new official Insider version (not a leaked image) that allows us to closely follow the development of the new, and peculiar, operating system.
Until now, Microsoft has been silent on its new operating system. And so much silence could even make us think that it was a fake. However, given the company’s moves this weekend, it seems that, in the end, the leaked ISO is more real than it might appear.
Microsoft tries to kill leaked ISOs of the new Windows
In addition to the nods from Microsoft, such as the image of the presentation or the time, there have been some small references to this operating system within the documentation of the operating system itself. However, it seemed that the company was not bothered by the leak of this new operating system. But it’s not like that.
Since then, Microsoft has been chasing the main links that allow the download of the Windows 11 ISO. The company has sent DCMA requests to erase its filtered system from the main websites, such as Mega or Google Drive. And it has done so through third-party companies, such as Springer Nature or Covington & Burling LLP, among others. And they have not only sent the requests to download websites, but also to pages that have analyzed it and, incidentally, linked.
As usual, every time a download link is deleted, two new ones appear, so once the ISO has appeared on the web, it is practically impossible to kill it . However, the trouble Microsoft is taking to try to crack down on its new operating system ISOs means only one thing: that Windows 11 is real.
Windows 11 is faster than Windows 10
Initially, Windows 11 is not much more than a version of Windows 10 with a new interface. However, it appears that Microsoft has been making internal changes to the operating system. And these changes translate into a significant performance improvement.
Several users have been testing the performance of Microsoft’s new operating system. And, despite being in development phase, and full of problems, it has been shown that Windows 11 is considerably faster than Windows 10, and achieves better performance than its predecessor.
In general PC performance tests, the new Windows 11 achieves a performance improvement of around 6% in multi-threaded operations and 2% in normal tasks. In benchmarks of the Chromium engine, the performance improvement skyrockets by up to 10%. Where there is no improvement is in the 3D tests , but this is because the NVIDIA and AMD drivers have not yet been optimized for the new Windows 11.
Everything points to a series of changes in the operating system programmer and in the big.LITTLE instructions of different processors, such as the Intel Alder Lake or the ARM chips.
For now we will have to wait more to see how the new operating system evolves. But, if it continues like this, of course we will be facing a change more than just sheet metal and paint. A good operating system that, of course, will give a lot to talk about.
