If you are having a problem with your Mac that does not end up solved through the reinstallation of software, it is probably a failure in any of the internal components of the computer. This way you can use Apple’s Diagnostics
Sometimes we can go a little crazy looking for a solution to the problems that our Mac has, since in certain occasions we do not even know what happens to us. This is why with Apple’s tool we will be able to find out exactly what happens to it so that in the technical service they are much faster.
In order to run this diagnostic tool we must follow the following steps:
- Disconnect all external devices that are connected to the Mac except the power connection, the keyboard, the screen or the Ethernet connection.
- As this test is going to perform a ‘rough’ test, we must look for a rigid surface that allows good ventilation of the equipment.
- Turn off the computer.
- Once it has completely shut down, we can turn it on again and immediately afterwards we will keep pressing the D key on the keyboard . We must keep it pressed until a screen to select the language appears.
- When selecting the language, we will see a bar on a gray background that will indicate the progress of the diagnostics.
- Once the test is over, we will be given information about the error detected as well as the reference codes that we must write down in order to let Apple’s customer service know.
Once the test is over, we can perform several actions to continue. If we want to obtain more information about the fault reported by the diagnostic software, press G command . But if we have not found anything and what we want is to restart it, press R and S to turn it off.
