The update to MIUI 11 is coming slowly but steadily to many Xiaomi mobiles, an update that is being published and released in different countries and lots of devices to avoid that in case of error, many are affected.
In case we don’t want to wait any longer, there is a way to force the update to MIUI 11 once it has been released. We also have the option to force the upgrade to EMUI 10 on Huawei phones, although this time the process is very different. You will have to follow each of the steps very carefully if we do not want to make any mistakes and get our mobile to the latest version of the MIUI customization layer.
Steps to follow to force MIUI 11
Before starting this process we must be aware that it is an advanced method with which we must be careful and where the first thing we should do is put our photos and files that we do not want to lose in case of something fail.
To begin the process, the first thing we will have to do is download the Downmi application from the Google Play Store. Once downloaded and installed we open it like any other and we will have a screen like the one shown in the image. In the first option we will have to choose the phone model we have and be careful with it so as not to be wrong. We will see the image of the phone we have chosen and then we go to the next step to force the update to MIUI 11 on our Xiaomi mobile.
Select the type of ROM
The next thing we have to do is choose the ROM, based on the one we have installed on our Xiaomi mobile and taking into account that it only works with the official Global ROM and the official Chinese ROM, although in other models we can find others such as the Beta or Developer . Select it carefully, because if you choose the ROM that does not apply you could suffer several problems.
We can check our ROM by entering Settings> Phone information and observing MIUI Version data.
Download and install ROM
At this point we have to choose a ROM that is higher than the one we already have installed, because if we installed an earlier version, our mobile could be affected. When we know that a new ROM with the MIUI 11 version has already been released globally, we can enter this section and we will surely find it in the first position marked in red the version.
To download it we will have to use the recovery mode , clicking on download and waiting for it to download completely.
Installing it is very simple, we just have to go to Settings> Phone information> System update and finally we touch the three points in the upper right corner. If the option to select update package does not appear , all we have to do is click on the logo of this MIUI 10 or MIUI 11 tab repeatedly in each case until it is activated.
Once this is done, we only have to click on this button, select the package that we have downloaded in the destination folder and we can force the update to MIUI 11 on our Xiaomi mobile. In case we encounter problems with the battery discharge in MIUI 11 we can follow the trick we share.
