Uncharted is coming to PC soon, what graphics card will you need?

After a long time, Sony seems to be giving its arm a twist and making its games available on PC. One of the most anticipated sagas that will soon arrive on Steam is the Uncharted saga. If you want to be prepared for the launch of Uncharted, we will explain what graphics card you will need to enjoy it.

The Uncharted saga was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and now Sony will release it for PC. We are talking about a console that is already many years old, even the PS4 Pro is already many years old. To give you an idea, the graphics of the PS4 Pro is approximately equivalent to an AMD RX 480.

Sony launches its franchises on PC

Finally, after many years of waiting, Sony seems to give its arm to twist and launch its most successful franchises on PC. They have chosen Steam to launch their catalog, something very logical, since it is the largest online video game store in the world. This allows the Japanese company to obtain additional income and expand into a market that was not paying attention.

Uncharted does not yet have a release date, although it is scheduled to arrive this year. Specifically, the fourth installment called the Legacy of Thieves Collection will be launched. Includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy .

It’s not really a new game, it’s just a game that has been converted to be playable on PC. It is possible that Sony polishes the graphics a bit, but it would not touch much to make it accessible to all users. We must bear in mind that the game was focused on a closed platform, so with the port to PC there are always higher requirements, due to the lack of optimization.

What graphics card can I need?

Although the specifications are not yet available, with a more powerful graphics card than the one integrated in the PS4 Pro, we should have more than enough. We leave you three options with which you can play Uncharted without major problems.

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

If you are on a fairly tight budget, you can opt for this APU . What we have here is an 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen processor with a fairly powerful Radeon Vega 8 graphics . We have a good processor with a graphics card which should be enough to run Uncharted. It more or less offers the same power as the PS4 Pro, so moving it in 1080p resolution should not be a problem.

NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super

We are going with another interesting option that should allow us to move Uncharted in a plentiful way. This graphics card has about x2.5 times more power than Sony’s console graphics. We can still find it second-hand at a slightly lower price, being an ideal solution. The big drawback of this graphics card is that it does not offer support for DLSS or Ray Tracing

AMD RX 6400

This is currently the simplest graphics card that AMD offers us and it should handle this game without any problems. Not only does it offer nearly twice the power of the PS4 Pro’s GPU, but it also offers support for Ray Tracing and AMD FSR . We can find it on the market for about 250 euros, so it is a fairly cheap and complete option.

NVIDIA RTX 3050 8GB

If you want to enjoy Ray Tracing and NVIDIA DLSS technology, a very good option is the RTX 3050. These graphics cards are the simplest currently offered by the company and support this and practically any game on the market. More or less, this graphics card offers x4.5 times more power than the graphics card used in the PS4 Pro .
