Amazon begins to offer a new way to enjoy music through its Amazon Music application for iOS and Android. Thanks to the integration with Twitch, all those live shows that artists and musicians broadcast on the popular streaming platforms can also be seen on the company’s music service.
Amazon Music now integrates Twitch

During the last months we have seen how many artists have used streaming platforms as an alternative to live streaming. Events that for reasons of COVID-19 and the subsequent “new normal” in which we are immersed have forced us to suspend as we knew them. And, among other things, holding large meetings is not advisable or desirable for many.
Therefore, seeing the notable increase in live streaming on video platforms, Amazon has decided to integrate Twitch with Amazon Music . But don’t worry, this does not mean that you will be able to see the Fall Guys, Fortnite or the most fashionable video game on the music service. This is reserved for musicians only.
Artists who want to take advantage of the new integration and have their live streams on Twitch be seen on Amazon Music, the first thing they will have to do is create an account on the platform if they don’t already have one. Once done, from the platform preferences, in the Profile and tools section, they must connect the Twitch profile with the Amazon Music account for artists.
From then on, all your live broadcasts will appear on your profile within Amazon Music. And the most interesting thing, with this they will not only gain greater visibility, it will also mean a new way of income because they will be able to take advantage of the monetization options that Twitch offers. Something that for established artists may not be a problem for now, but for those who are just starting out or are still looking to gain a foothold, any option to generate money is attractive.
So, if as a user what you are interested in is seeing all those concerts, you know, from the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android you can. Although if you want you can also use your Echo Show and enjoy these on its integrated screen and with better quality if you do not use headphones or an external speaker.
Concerts and virtual performances

Amazon’s move to integrate Twitch and Amazon Music is neither unique nor exclusive. Other platforms such as Spotify have also seen that consumer habits are changing and also propose similar solutions that allow musicians to perform live within their platforms.
A new way, that of virtual concerts and performances, to which we will have to get used to at least for a season. And not only with the subject of music, also with the movie premieres. What it does is that they will have to see how to solve some problems such as the value that the user perceives in an event of this type compared to what he perceived while attending live and direct. But that is a challenge that little by little we will see how they face it. At the moment they are focused on giving options.
