Tready: Everything This Autonomous Submersible Robot Can Do

It is increasingly common to see how many companies and companies use robots to do different tasks, since these machines can work better than a human being and that leads to saving both time and money. They may seem futuristic to us, but we are not that far from seeing how robots will gradually be implemented in everyday life. There are already many different prototypes developed that serve many things, but this last one, which is called Tready, serves several things and, in addition, can be submerged in water. It can also move autonomously or control it through an application if you prefer.

One of the problems of robots is their difficulties when it comes to moving through certain terrain.

Can do rescue or inspection work

If they are on a smooth and unobstructed surface they will not have a major problem, even if they move faster or slower. However, if it is a rough terrain or where there is no stable surface , the task is complicated.

This new robot replaces the legs with ” fins ” that allow it to move without problem on any terrain. Also, it can be used for different things like search and rescue operations or inspection work.

You can also go up and down stairs and in case you trip and fall to the ground, you can get back into a stable position without complication. It can even be submerged under water for 30 minutes at a depth of one meter.

Its structure is as follows: it has a rectangular body and uses four mobile “flaps” to move, each one controlled individually. Each leg has a rubber tread at its end.

No surface can resist

Its “fins” allow it to be in a horizontal position when the robot moves across a smooth surface, being able to move both up and down without any problem.

But if an obstacle appears unexpectedly in the environment through which the robot is moving, it can raise its front “fins” on said object, being able to move over it.

As for its dimensions, it measures 1.1 meters long and almost 50 centimeters wide . It weighs 25 kilos and can reach a speed of half a meter per second. Its four interchangeable lithium batteries allow it to run for two to three hours.

It can be pre-programmed and moved autonomously or controlled via a Wi-Fi connection wirelessly through an application that is available on both iOS and Android devices.

As if that were not enough, you can also add accessories such as cameras to capture incredible images or robotic arms.
