The PC you need to play Stray in 4K Ultra

We have chosen to build a PC that allows us to run Stray smoothly in 4K. For this, we have chosen a graphics card that allows us to obtain more than 60 FPS, adjusting the budget to the maximum and we have set up thinking that you will surely want to play other titles in the same resolution with a high frame rate per second.

How much is the PC required to play Stray in 4K?

We have focused on what would be the main components to be able to move Stray in 4K Ultra. Specifically we will see the motherboard, the processor, the graphics card, the RAM and the storage unit . We have not considered the box or the power supply, since they are components that we can reuse. If you have something similar to any of the listed components, skip it. Remember, this is just a setup idea to be able to move Stray in 4K Ultra @ +60 FPS.

Our chosen ones are:

• Processor : AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
  Currently it seems that the stock of Ryzen 5000 processors is being cleaned before the next arrival of the company’s new CPUs. As we write this, this 12-core and 24-core processor is 35% off, something that has led us to select it. When you read this it may not be on sale. If so, know that with the Ryzen 7 5800X you should have more than enough. Both are excellent processors with which we can play without problems and even stream simultaneously. If you find it for less than 600 euros, do not hesitate, it is a great offer.
• Motherboard : Gigabyte X570S AORUS MASTER .
  Options in terms of motherboard, there are many and for all tastes. We have opted for one with a good VRM phase system that feeds the processor correctly. In addition, this motherboard had to offer WiFi connectivity and a passive heatsink system for the M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD units. This motherboard delivers and offers excellent connectivity on the I/O panel. A good price is when it is around 400-450 euros.
• RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB DDR4 3600
  AMD Ryzen processors are quite dependent on the frequency of RAM. For this reason we have chosen this Corsair kit of two modules of 8GB each (that add up to 16 GB) and that work at 3600 MHz. They have RGB lighting and are modules with selected memory chips, to offer brutal performance. If you see them for less than 90 euros , get one.
• SSD : Crucial P5 Plus 1TB PCIe 4.0
  Here it is more about taste than anything else. In order not to be short and to obtain the best read and write speeds, we have opted for a 1TB M.2 SSD based on the PCIe 4.0 interface. Also, we have chosen this drive from Crucial as it is the trademark of Micron, one of the world’s leading memory chip manufacturers. It is around 190 euros, and when it is on sale, it drops below 170 euros.
• Graphics Card: Gigabyte AORUS RTX 3070 MASTER
  We see how little by little the price of graphics cards is normalizing. Of all the available options, this is the one that seemed to us to be the most balanced in terms of capacity and price. The NVIDA RTX 3070 will offer us more than 60 FPS in 4K Ultra resolution in Stray and, in addition, it offers us support for Ray Tracing and DLSS. Obviously, we will be able to play any other game on the market in 4K with high graphic quality and with the latest technologies, if they are supported by the game. Of our selection, it is the most expensive element. It is a GPU in the range of 800 euros , so if you see it between 600 and 700 and you are looking for one, do not think about it.

If we add up, the truth is that playing the new Annapurna game at full power on PC, which is causing a sensation, both on Steam and on PS Plus, where PS5 owners can also enjoy it, does not come cheap. We talked about whether we can recycle elements such as the box or the power supply and, in addition, we have a 4K monitor (which is usually around 400 euros extra), we have to invest between 1,800 and 2,100 euros in a computer to move it, yes, its maximum expression.
