Within the cheap mobiles that we can find in Amazon the offer is quite wide. But what happens when we run into a smartphone worth just over 35 euros? Today we wanted to take a look at the cheapest Android mobile that we can buy on Amazon, to see if it is worth it or it is better to move on to something else.
By polling the cheapest mobile that we can buy at Amazon we have ended up running into the BLU Gran MAX, a terminal that can be ours for only 36.10 euros with free shipping included for Prime customers. But what does it offer and what needs can such an extremely cheap equipment respond?
Who makes it
First, it is worth stopping for a moment to analyze the manufacturer. We are talking about BLU, a company unknown to the public. It is an American company based in Miami, which sells equipment worldwide from its distribution center in Hong Kong. The most advanced terminal of the company so far is the BLU G9 Pro , a mobile with triple camera with main sensor of 48 megapixels and costs about 190 euros.
But the terminal that concerns us is the BLU Grand Max, an economical device that went on sale in 2017 , but now is at a price that some might consider, to have a second terminal or as a first contact for a Child or teenager without spending a lot of money.
What does it offer
This device offers a 5-inch HD screen, with a density of 294 dpi. If we lift the hood we see a modest MediaTek 6580 quad-core processor, which is accompanied by only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 64 GB using microSD cards.
In the section of the cameras it has two 8 megapixel sensors, both in its rear and in the front. The terminal is capable of recording video in FullHD at 30fps. The BLU Grand Max moves with Android 6 Marshwallow and has a 2,200 mAh battery , Bluetooth 4.0 and is compatible with Wi-Fi and 3G networks.
We bought it?
The answer is our case is that it is a terminal too outdated to be worth your purchase even at that price. Keep in mind that your technical requirements, highlighting its low RAM or outdated operating system, can make it incompatible with many applications and its usability will only plummet.
Maybe as a multimedia operations center (radio and music), a second mobile phone to have WhatsApp and be able to make calls or as a mobile phone according to what jobs, it may be worthwhile, but very much to the limit. In all other circumstances it is preferable to go up to the 50/60 euros range, where we can find some more decent option. The BLU Grand Max may have been a mediocre terminal of 2017, but at the moment it doesn’t deserve that label.
