  • If, on the other hand, the smoke is white and dense , it means that you are burning engine coolant. It can be due to problems in the head gasket, in the cylinder head or a possible crack in the engine block.
  • If the smoke is gray , it may be because the car is burning oil, a faulty turbocharger, or a clogged or malfunctioning positive crankcase ventilation system.
