How to ask for your money back

The payment is probably not still pending, so the option to cancel it from the activity page is not available, so the way to do this is to go to the Resolution Center to start the refund process. At this point, you have already ruled out that the person to whom you have sent the money will return it to you, so you have no choice but to start this procedure.

What you can do is the following:

  1. Go to your PayPal account from the app
  2. Go to Portfolio
  3. From there, at the top right you will find the Activity section
  4. Click on it and you will see the last payments
  5. Search among them by browsing the screen or with the search engine that you will find next to a magnifying glass
  6. Click on the specific charge
  7. Scroll down the screen to the end
  8. Give Report a problem
  9. They will give you more details about the transaction
  10. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to where it says Report a problem to PayPal
  11. There you will indicate what is happening and what you request (that you want a refund, you have received a different service or item, you have not received the item or service, unauthorized activity or what corresponds)
  12. You will follow the steps that appear selecting the articles on which you want to report, indicating the type of article, category and quantity
  13. Continue and follow the steps to complete your claim
  14. Now all you have to do is wait for them to study the case and give you your money back
  15. If you have to provide more information, they will tell you and you must go to complete what they request

If the charge is recent , you can find it on the main screen where it says recent activity and you will follow the steps indicated above. You can also go directly to the Resolution Center from here by logging in to your account and clicking Report a problem. There you will select the specific transaction, click to continue and complete all the steps in the same way as the previous one.

If you have decided to contact directly and avoid these steps, the usual thing is that you have the contact of the person from whom you are going to claim the money to request a refund or clarify their return policy.
