Samsung Galaxy A72 4G: Features Leaked Before Its Release

5G is expected to experience a much larger expansion during 2021. Operators, markets and terminals are adapting to this technology. Samsung is one of the companies that is most committed to integrating 5G in more affordable terminals. However, the 4G-only compatible variants will still coexist for a while with other models, as revealed in the latest Galaxy A72 leak.

Although all eyes are on the Galaxy S21, which will presumably be presented next January, the terminals of the Galaxy A series are already looming on the horizon. We have previously seen how Samsung is preparing the Galaxy A32, Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72, all compatible with 5G technology, which will bring the new network to many more pockets.

However, far from what it might seem, we have just discovered that at least the Galaxy A72 will also be marketed in a single variant with 4G . This allows reducing costs in those markets where it is absurd to launch a terminal with 5G, if you do not have the appropriate infrastructure. Once again it has been the famous Geekbench program, which has revealed the existence of this device.

The terminal has achieved a score of 526 points in the Geekbench tests with a single core, and 1623 in the multi-core tests. In the detail it is revealed that it will arrive with 8 GB of RAM and Android 11, in addition to the aforementioned Qualcomm processor. According to the leaked design of its brother, it is expected to arrive with a screen with a hole for the selfie sensor, and a rectangular rear module to house four rear cameras, with a 64 megapixel main sensor, 12 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and macro sensor. 5 megapixels.

Its launch in 2021

The panel is also expected to feature an integrated fingerprint sensor, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Its size could reach 6.67 inches with AMOLED technology . We do not yet have an estimated launch date, but it is likely that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy A72, in its two connectivity variants, during the first half of 2021. We do not know if the Korean company will market it in markets where 5G is testimonial or non-existent, or it will give the user the opportunity to choose, even if they can count on a commercial offer compatible with 5G. What seems clear is that 5G continues to approach more and more affordable terminals, and it is not uncommon for us to see it in the entry range during the year that is about to start.
