Realme: How to Take Light Effect Photos at Night

When a night photo is taken well, it can be really spectacular. Among the many techniques available to shoot when the sun has set, one of the most spectacular is the so-called “Light Painting”. It is a photographic record in which the protagonist is a moving light source , which will leave a trail that will be impressively captured in the final result.

Realme: How to Take Light Effect Photos

This technique is said to have been born in 1914 when a married couple used small lights to follow their company’s manufacturing process in a long exposure photo. Later in 1935, photographer Man Ray applied this, being the work “The writing space”, one of the best known.

Today we are going to see how to perform this technique on realme’s mobiles, thanks to the advice of the firm’s community, which little by little is counted by legions and the best mobile tricks are coming up, within the official forums of the company.

How to perform the technique

It will be essential to go to the Expert Mode of our mobile realme, that section of the camera where we will have to adjust the parameters manually to achieve the effect. The method works in the same way, both for realme mobiles that have already made the leap to realme UI, and for those (most) that are still working under the baton of ColorOS. The key is to access ISO, exposure time, and focus.

Adjust values

In ISO section we will have to go down to the lowest value, this will make it possible to better capture the contrast between light and dark. For its part , the exposure time will be set to the longest time allowed by our mobile. In this way the movement of the lights can be captured in more detail. Finally, we will have to place the focus at the farthest value possible , this will make the effect of light in the distance more accurate avoiding blurring.

Trick to shoot

The next step and if we have already determined what we want to photograph, moving light, stars, a highway at night etc … we will have to try to keep the phone as still as possible at the time of shooting. This means that the help of a tripod can be key if we want to achieve better results. There is no clear rule either, and as we play around with these parameters and run our own tests, we’ll certainly debug the technique.
