Now that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 10 and Mi Mix 10 Pro have already been officially presented (awaiting launch in Spain) all eyes are on the Mi Note 11 and, above all, on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 . Now a patent of the brand that would confirm one of its characteristics and add a new surprise comes to light.
There is no doubt that the Mi Mix series is the favorite for Xiaomi to innovate and show interesting approaches. The first Mi Mix boasted an all-screen format before the notch became fashionable and the Mi Mix 3 is the cheapest 5G mobile on the market. Nor should we look back to remember that Mi Mix Alpha with a radical flexible screen design.

Now the patent referred to in the first lines shows what the Chinese manufacturer is planning for the Mi Mix of 2020. In the image you can see a second small screen in the camera area. This could show important data such as notifications when the smartphone is face down (who leaves a smartphone face down today?), But it could also serve as a selfie screen. This would affect the full screen format because we could take selfies with the rear camera and dispense with a separate front camera.

Camera under screen or not?
The latest leaks that come to us from the home country of the mobile affect the smartphone will boast a screen greater than 6.4 inches with a QuadHD resolution and three options to choose according to the refresh rate: 60 Hz, 90 Hz and 120 Hz. Among the main rumors surrounding the device we had the commitment to a front camera under the screen but it seems that, although Xiaomi is working on it, the technology is not yet polished enough to appear in this Mi Mix 4 .
The Mi Mix range has always opted to minimize frames and other screen elements. The first versions moved the front lens to the bottom while the Mi Mix 3 opted for a sliding module to show a front display without notches or holes. Now it seems that the solution of incorporating a small screen in the back would be the new way to remove sensors from the front without having to give up the capture of self-portraits.
At the moment we do not have a presentation date for the mobile.
