The oldest of the place will remember that not so many years ago, the DualSIM functionality was almost reserved for Chinese mobiles, in the days when Huawei was unknown in the West. The battle of blocked mobiles and operators did not see favorably that the user could carry two SIM cards , from two different operators. The story has changed a lot, to the point that a large part of terminals, like many from Samsung, have this possibility.
A card with a convenient data rate and another with calls or a card for work and another for personal. Many users need that their terminal has this function, but sometimes, the DualSIM configuration can give some headaches. For this reason, we wanted to see how to manage this function in Samsung mobiles with DualSIM , to be able to assign a task to each card. In this way, in one of them we can call and in the other the messages and define which of them will be for data use.
Select DualSIM settings
The first thing we will have to do is enter the settings menu. We can do it by sliding a finger up to access the applications screen. Once done we enter Settings and select Connections. Now we must click on SIM card manager to access all the settings that we can modify, such as Calls, Text messages and Mobile data.

Call, Message and Data Settings
In this menu we can, within the Preferred SIM card section, we can configure the SIM that will use each of the following aspects: Calls, Text messages, Mobile data. The first step is to define the calls we touch on the calls. In this way, the terminal is defined to ask which SIM card to use for the next call, when we try to call without using the preferred SIM for calls. We will do the same with Text Messages to choose the SIM that will manage the SMS. Text messages will use Samsung.
Multimedia messages may use the same SIM as mobile data, depending on the messaging application used. To finish, click on Mobile data, to select which of the two SIM cards will use data. We will only have to wait for the adjustments to be completed for them to take effect.
