Problems with the games? Check that there are no bugs in DirectX

Nowadays, many of you use a PC to enjoy your favorite video games. Almost always this is based on Microsoft‘s Windows system, so we ask the whole to work in the best way. Other secondary actors play a very important role in all of this, as is the case with DirectX , for example.

Depending on the demands of the title that we have chosen and the power of our computer, we will enjoy the experience more or less. Keep in mind that older computers are limited in terms of running the latest games, for example. But at the same time, these usually put at our disposal a good number of customizable parameters to adapt their execution to our needs.

But as we mentioned before, other factors also have a great influence here. In this sense, we can mention the disk space or RAM memory available at that time, the active functions of Windows itself, or the DirectX libraries, among others. We mention this last case because it is precisely the one we want to focus on along these same lines. And it is that, when speaking of DirectX, specifically we refer to a series of libraries specifically designed for the improvement of multimedia applications and video games .

Hence precisely and due to its importance, in the event that there is some type of failure in these libraries, the execution of the games could be affected. Obviously we are referring to problems that we could encounter when enjoying our favorite games. In the event that these errors that we are talking about appear suddenly, it could be due to an error with the aforementioned DirectX .

Taking into account that DirectX libraries generally work in the background of our system, troubleshooting could be a bit complex. But in reality it is much simpler than we could imagine at first. For all of them we are going to make use of an interesting tool included in Windows that will be extremely useful to us.

Specifically, we are talking about a function that is precisely responsible for diagnosing and locating errors related to graphic libraries. At the same time, it offers us a good amount of information related to the GPU that we have installed on the computer. To access it, all we have to do is type Dxdiag in the Microsoft system search box. After a few seconds, a window corresponding to the diagnostic tool that interests us in this case will appear on the screen.

The first thing that we are going to find is the information related to the graphic section of our computer in a fairly detailed way. At the same time, at the top of the interface we find a series of tabs through which we can move. At the bottom of each of them, the tool itself exposes the possible problems it has found with the DirectX libraries.

These failures can refer to the graphical representation, to the sound, or to the input devices that we have connected.
