We already have an answer to one of the most repeated questions in recent months. How much will PlayStation 5 cost? When will it go on sale? As we anticipated, the latest Sony conference has served to learn about the games that will arrive with the console and some new ones that were yet to be discovered.
Two prices for two PlayStation 5
499 euros and 399 euros will be the labels that will accompany the two PS5 models that will hit stores on November 19, so you have just over a month to save enough to get one of these models. Will you choose the discless option or do you prefer the classic version with a Blu-ray player?
The console can be reserved in the next few days at authorized resellers, thus anticipating the date that Microsoft proposed as the reservation day for its consoles. In this way, anyone who wants to get a new generation console can do so immediately with the Sony option, while with the Microsoft option, they will have to keep waiting. Will some units in Redmond lose to this overtaking by Sony’s right?
The cheapest PlayStation
The option to offer the digital model for 399 euros is a very good move by Sony. It is because it offers a PS5 without technical limitations to which only the Blu-ray drive has been removed. Thus, the console can be placed below Xbox Series X in terms of price, offering the same potential at the level of specifications.
It is possible that Microsoft has assumed that battle, and hence the Xbox Series S proposal, more focused on those who do not seek 4K resolutions and think more about the maximum possible savings.
How much are the games going to cost?
In addition to the console, obviously we will have to buy the odd game to release it. In the difficult task of choosing the game with which to make the best use of the new console, we will have the option to choose between all these games from SIE Worldwide Studios:
- Astro’s Playroom (Japan Studio) – arrives pre-installed on PS5
- Demon’s Souls (Bluepoint Games / Japan Studio) – 79.99 euros
- Destruction All Stars (Lucid Games / XDEV) –79.99 euros
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Insomniac Games) –59.99 euros
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mile Morales Ultimate Edition (Insomniac Games) – 79.99 euros
- Sackboy A Big Adventure (Sumo Digital / XDEV) – 69.99 euros
As you can see, most of the great titles will arrive with a price of 80 euros , a figure that has scared many users in the first hours of the announcement, and that seems not to go down too well with some who had applauded the prices announced for the console . On the other side we have Microsoft, which is offering the titles of its own studios completely free of charge to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Sony Exclusives
But if there is something that has been able to tip the balance of some, it has been the last of the announcements. It has been in the form of a teaser, and although it has only been possible to see a logo and hear a voice, many have not needed more to know that it will be one of the games they will buy from minute one. It was God of War: Ragnarok , the second installment of God of War that aims to take to another level the incredible technical display that we could already see on PS4. It won’t arrive until 2021, so there will still be a wait.
