Possible Apple Fitness + Release dates

Two months ago the Apple Fitness + sports training service was officially launched. It was at the online event published by Apple on September 15 and although they advanced what it consisted of and even added it to the Apple One packages, the truth is that they did not say a launch date and it has not been officially said again nothing in regards. Now it has been known that the company is beginning to integrate it in some beta versions. We analyze it below.

It would arrive with iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2

After the launch of the first beta version of iOS 14.3 two weeks ago, indications began to be discovered that the Californian company was beginning to introduce elements in the system related to its new sports service. In the second beta launched this week, some media such as MacRumors have been able to confirm that there is more information.

In the aforementioned media they comment that the beta of iOS 14.3 includes a screen in which the user is welcomed to the Apple Fitness + service, something that will probably end up arriving in this final version. All this despite the fact that in this version some other confusing references to this new service will be eliminated.

Well, when will iOS 14.3 be released? This version is suspected to accompany watchOS 7.2, which in turn will be essential for the arrival of this service. Although there is no clear timing around the release of new updates, it should not be released much later than mid-December . If this is true, it would be about a month before some users can now enjoy Apple Fitness +.

Will it reach all countries?

Unfortunately, no. In the previous paragraph we highlighted “some users” for this same reason and that is that for the moment it will be an exclusive service of the United States . It is true that it is not the only one that appears only in some territories, since Apple News + or the free Apple News app itself does not reach European countries. However, in those cases it is related to legal issues related to copyright, but this sports service would not have in principle any legal impediment.

Nor does the fact that this service has most of its content in English seems to be an obstacle. You can always add subtitles or at least give the user the option of hiring it taking into account this circumstance. Therefore we look forward to this service being extended to other territories at some point, which perhaps would allow a new Apple One package to be added, since in Spain we do not have access to all of them precisely because of the “fault” of Apple Fitness + and Apple News +.
