It is not that it has been one of the best kept secrets of the technology firm but the Moto G8 Power Lite is already a reality. As we expected by its name and after its leak on Amazon, we are faced with a smartphone that maintains the main characteristics of the Moto G8 Power but reduces its price thanks to a small change in hardware.
After appearing in different online stores ahead of time, it was clear that the umpteenth variant of the Moto G8 would not be long in coming. The Moto G8 Power Lite maintains a large battery of 5,000 mAh and is located below the 200-euro price range thanks to the adjustment of some of its specifications.

Starting with the screen, the new lowered G8 Power sports a 6.5 ″ LCD display with HD + resolution and a notch in the form of a drop of water (and not a hole) that remains embedded in a body of 164.94 x 75.76 x 9.2 mm and a weight of 200 g. Inside we come across the famous MediaTek Helio P35 processor present in many mid-range smartphones. This CPU is joined by a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB storage that manage the expansion with MicroSD cards of up to 256 GB.
Behind, although the design of the camera module is similar, there are three lenses instead of four. Even so, the terminal continues to mount a 16 megapixel sensor followed by a 2 MP lens to work in the bokeh effects and a 2 MP lens for macro photography to the 16 MP sensor, this time without the wide angle. The front camera is 8 megapixels.
More or less the smartphone maintains the same design lines as the rest of the Moto G8 range , although we must remember that we are dealing with one of the cheapest terminals in the series, which is noted, for example, in a larger chin at the bottom of the screen. What does not change is the battery, which lives up to its name, and reaches a capacity of up to 5,000 mAh, although now with a 10W charge that we can use through a MicroUSB connector.
The fingerprint reader is, as always, on the back, next to the brand’s logo and, for some reason, the terminal launches Android 9 Pie on the market.
Moto G8 Power Lite Price
The Moto G8 Power Lite will be available in two colors: light blue and dark blue and, to our knowledge, it will only go on sale in a single version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Motorola has announced that the terminal will go on sale in Mexico, Germany and other countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia from 169 euros .
