There is nothing worse than a mobile that works and keeps its technical features fresh, reach the end of the cycle in your operating system updates. The user will continue with a fully operational terminal, but seeing all the operating system novelties that they will never be able to try, at least officially. We say this, because the so-called personalized Roms have always been a kind of lifeline for those users who have always resisted letting their terminals die so easily.

Xiaomi has updated a large part of its catalog to MIUI 12, with versions based on Android 10 and Android 9. However, Android 11 is already a reality , and it is a version that a large number of terminals will not see in their guts of the signature. Two of them, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and the Mi Mix 2S, have just received an unexpected breath of fresh air thanks to a new custom ROM that arrives directly from the official XDADevelopers forums.
ArrowOS project
In this way, the so-called ArrowOS 11.0 project, provides Android 11 to these devices, which can now test many of the novelties present in the Google Pixels. However, if these devices are part of your personal daily use, it is preferable to wait until the versions are more refined, since they are initial Alpha versions that contain several errors, such as some related to Wi-Fi or the Ok Google command , in the case of the Mi Mix 3.

The ROM has a very simple and bloatware-free user interface, close to the standard Android experience . In addition, it has two versions, one that integrates Google apps and another clean of them. Recall that the Mi Mix 2s arrived on the market with Android Oreo while the Mi Mix 3 did the same with Android Pie. To date, Xiaomi has no official update plans for either device.
Download the Roms
As we say, in order to test these Roms, it is recommended to be an experienced user and not carry out the process on the usual mobile . You need to unlock the bootloader and install the Rom through TWRP recovery or similar. First of all, it is recommended to make a backup of all personal data, in case problems continue during the installation process or using the device with the new Rom.
