New Design of Adobe Premiere Pro for Editing Videos

Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the largest professional video editors that we can find. This editor is part of the Creative Cloud suite, and is used daily by millions of professionals and companies to shape their projects. During his more than 30 years behind him, this program has been satisfying the needs of all kinds of users. But times change, and for this reason, the program has been forced to renew and modernize to adapt to new times and new technologies.

It is true that Premiere Pro is a very complete program. This video editor is packed with tools and functions that allow us to do almost everything with videos. And, for what we cannot do, Adobe offers us other tools (such as After Effects ) that integrate perfectly with it. However, we cannot deny that the interface of this program is quite complex. And many of the more basic functions, such as importing content or exporting a video, are unnecessarily complicated.

Luckily, this is over.

Adobe Premiere Pro changes the program interface

The company has just presented what will be the future of its video editor. Adobe Premiere wants to expand its audience and adapt to the needs of social networks so that users can use this program to edit their videos before uploading them.

One of the first aspects of this program that has changed is the process of importing the videos. Now, the assistant is much more visual, being able to see thumbnails of the videos that we are going to import into the program in a similar way to how we do with Lightroom . This wizard will show us the video clips, images and audios in one place. And, in addition, if we place the mouse over them we can reproduce a preview. Very useful to avoid having to switch between Premiere and the browser all the time.

The video export process has also been improved. Now, Adobe Premiere tells us directly what is the format and the appropriate configuration for each type of video that we want to export depending on the social network where we are going to upload it. In this way, we will not have to search Google beforehand for the optimal settings for our videos. In addition, we will be able to export the videos for different platforms at the same time.

In addition, the main interface of the program also has a new header bar . From there we will be able to have instant access to the different workspaces of the program: import, edition and export. This bar, probably, could reach other programs of the company in the future.

Test the new interface

At the moment we do not know when these Premiere changes will reach all users. However, while it arrives, we can have a first contact with her thanks to the Beta versions of Adobe Creative Cloud.

Adobe Premiere Beta CC

We simply have to open the desktop program, enter the section “Applications in beta version” and download the corresponding Premiere Pro (Beta) . Of course, we do not recommend using these versions in production, only for testing, as they may have errors and performance problems.
