Netflix Secret Codes: How to Browse Hidden Categories

Netflix secret codes are numbers used in category addresses, such as netflix.com/browse/genre/81466194. Open the full address in a browser to browse a collection. These codes help you find titles; they do not unlock paid access, another country’s catalogue or a film that Netflix does not offer to your profile.

Netflix Secret Codes: How to Browse Hidden Categories

How to use a Netflix category code

  1. Open Netflix in a web browser and sign in to the profile you want to use.
  2. Type https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/ into the address bar.
  3. Add the category’s number at the end, without spaces or commas.
  4. Press Enter and browse the collection that is available to that profile.

For example, 81466194 opens Netflix’s 90-Minute Movies collection. Netflix explains the address format in its official category-code guide. A browser is the simplest way to open an exact category URL; entering a number into a TV app’s search box is not the same operation.

Useful collections to try

These examples are named in Netflix’s own guide. Collections and the titles inside them can change.

Collection Code
90-Minute Movies 81466194
Family Movie Night 2013975
Cyberpunk 1964512
Binge-Worthy British Crime TV Shows 1192582
High Brow Horror 3261672
K-Dramas for Beginners 2953105
Movies Directed by Women 2974953
Watch in One Weekend 3182735

Choose a category because it describes what you want to watch, not because it has the biggest number. You can save the full address as a browser bookmark for later.

Why is a code empty or showing different films?

A category link does not guarantee the same results for everyone. Check your profile’s language and maturity settings, confirm the title is available in your region, and make sure you typed the complete address. A collection may also be changed or retired.

If you already know the film’s name, ordinary title search is usually quicker. Netflix’s search and browsing help also explains searching by genre, actor and language. Browsing by language can be more useful than trying many numbers when you want dubbed or subtitled content.

Can a code search within a series or episode?

No. A category code opens a collection of titles. To find a series, search its name, open its details and choose the season or episode there. It does not search spoken dialogue, scenes or subtitles inside an episode.

Category codes are different from error codes

A number at the end of a genre URL is a browsing shortcut. A playback error shown by the app needs troubleshooting instead. Our Netflix error-code guide explains that separate problem.

If you want more everyday viewing controls, see our Netflix tips. Start with a few categories you like rather than a huge untested list of codes.

If the homepage keeps suggesting the wrong things, see how to change Netflix recommendations and viewing history. That changes profile signals; opening a category code only changes what you browse.
