One of the most useful functions that our smartphones have received in recent years is to be able to launch content and applications on television. Before, it was something that could only be done through a cable that connected a mobile phone and a TV, but they have long since been put in a drawer. Today we want to see how the screen or applications can be transmitted to television on Motorola mobiles.
There are many reasons why we may want to transmit the content of our mobile to TV . Some users use it to view large photos or videos, others to broadcast their games and that other users can see the games or to launch the contents of a streaming application.
Launch content to TV
The requirements
Before continuing, we must be clear that in order to transmit content to our television wirelessly, it must have some element that gives it access to the network, either through an external Google Chromecast, built-in internal Chromecast or any standard connectivity, which allows us to have both our TV and our mobile, connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Transmit the mobile screen
To show all the content of the screen of our Motorola mobile on television, we will have to go to Settings / Connected devices / Connection preferences / Transmit. Then we just have to tap on this symbol on the screen with the Wi-Fi icon and click on the name of the connected Chromecast device or the TV to make the connection. After a few seconds we will see the screen of our mobile reflected on the screen of our television. To stop the transmission we will have to tap on the arrow and click on “Disconnect”. We can also click on the quick configuration menu and tap on “Disconnect”. This access can also be found in the quick settings menu of the access bar.
Stream an app
Similarly, instead of all the content of our mobile in real time, we can transmit a specific application that supports this option . For this we must also have the same requirements mentioned above. Once our Moto and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, we must open the compatible application (Youtube, Netflix, Spotify …) and tap on the content transmission symbol. Then we will see the same symbol in the status bar, which allows us to continue receiving calls or use the phone’s functions without interrupting the connection of the app with the TV. To disconnect, touch the symbol again and then touch “Disconnect”
