Facial recognition as a barrier
However, in many occasions the preview allows you to see part of the message, which can be compromised if there are people in front or if someone takes our phone, even if it is blocked. Luckily, MIUI 11 has an ideal method to avoid this inconvenience. The option will allow us to continue receiving notice of the applications and see a preview, but only to know what app the warning comes from. Subsequently, when the mobile performs a facial recognition, it will show the summary of said notification, that is, the corresponding WhatsApp message or that which arrives in the form of a pop-up message.
How to activate the option
This setting is “hidden” within the multiple options of MIUI and can go unnoticed by many users, but of course it will be very useful for a large number of people. To activate it, we must go to the ” Settings” menu and enter the ” Passwords and Security” section.
Then we must select “Facial Unlocking” . If we have not yet configured this security method, we will be guided step by step to do so, before accessing the function activation. Then we will have to enable the “Stay on lock screen after unlocking” and “ Notification details after checking facial data” function. From then on, when our mobile is locked with a new pop-up notification, the screen will light up, but the content will not be displayed until facial data is verified.
