Backup to iPadOS through iCloud

In 2019 the iPad went from carrying iOS as an operating system to carrying iPadOS. However both systems share the same base, so if you have an older iPad or that is not updated to the latest versions of iPadOS, you can also make a backup using iCloud. And in this copy that can be made from the iPad itself , all kinds of information are saved: wallpaper, installed apps, contacts, Safari bookmarks, settings and more that you can select to be backed up in the backup.

But how are these backups made? Well, by default, iPad uploads a copy to iCloud every time they are connected to the power and with a WiFi connection. However, they can be done manually by following these steps:

Normally Apple gives 5GB to each user who registers with an Apple ID, but these may be insufficient on many occasions. Therefore it is advisable to acquire more space, for which there are the following rates:

  • 50 GB of storage: € 0.99 per month.
  • 200 GB of storage: € 2.99 per month.
  • 2 TB of storage: € 9.99 per month.
