Possible List of Phones Compatible with Huawei EMUI 11.1

You have to go back to September last year, the date EMUI 11 became official. Since then, the company has been carrying out its implementation, with priority in China and at a slower pace globally. As we have seen recently, EMUI 11.1 would become the latest version of EMUI, before Huawei devices make the definitive leap to HarmonyOS , with the P50 being the ones to release this new version next March.

Like EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1, Huawei’s devices will feature EMUI 11 and EMUI 11.1. It is this latest version, recently leaked, that is causing the most expectation. This new version will already come with the HarmonyOS kernel, and the P50s are the best placed in time to have this new version. However, a whole string of Huawei devices on the market should be able to be updated to EMUI 11.1.

Huawei phones chosen for EMUI 11.1

According to the EMUI 11 schedule, Huawei will finish its beta rollout for all compatible devices during the first quarter of 2021. We still have to know EMUI 11.1 officially, but the people of Huawei Central have prepared the first estimated list, of those devices they should be eligible for this new version. This list includes the latest launches of the company, some of which are unfortunately not in our market like the Nova 8. However, the entire Mate 40, P40 and P30 series, which are marketed in Europe, should be chosen for EMUI 11.1

Paving the way to HarmonyOS

This should be the last version of EMUI before the company implements HarmonyOS as the definitive platform that shapes its entire ecosystem of products, and definitively breaks ties with Android. However, we still have to know if the differences between the two platforms will be noticeable, or will be too similar, as the latest leaks have suggested. In any case, and if the gala presentation occurs during the presentation of the next Huawei P50, we would be just over a month away from doubts.
