As you know, in recent years cinemas have become an inexhaustible source of scares thanks to a whole generation of films that have transformed that old love for the paranormal and horror into a genre that is very much alive. And although in video games they do not go at the same speed, it is true that from time to time some appear that cause unbearable fear. And Left to Rot intends to become one of them.
It goes little way from your PC
You probably remember something called the PT Demo that was released in the middle of E3 2014 on PS4’s PlayStation Store, just moments after Hideo Kojima introduced it at a Sony conference. A sample of a psychological horror game that, apparently, he was preparing with his colleague Guillermo del Toro and that unfortunately ended up being cancelled.
Well, if you still feel influenced by that demo and you were left wanting more, you don’t have to go looking very far to find those points of coincidence between that PT Demo by Kojima with this Left to Rot that in one of his videos The presentation resorts to a very similar staging , with presences of those that destroy the night and cause visions of bodies half hidden between doors, shadows and corners.
In this title, the story is very simple since it puts us in the shoes of a protagonist who arrives at a house and must explore everything that is there, especially some cursed VHS tapes that we will have to see from beginning to end and that they hide a good part of the secrets that we are going to have to discover between so much spirit and evil presence.
Hold on a little longer
Its developers describe the game as “an immersive psychological horror experience” where we must explore a universe in which paranormal presences are the order of the day , so only those with a particularly strong heart will have enough arrests to enter that maze and come out alive and your heart intact.
