Today was the day chosen to meet the new Redmi K40 , a long-awaited series, as this family is seared by its good performance at a moderate price.
As every year, after the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 11, the Redmi sub-brand picks up the baton to put high-end devices into circulation, at a lower price. Presentation at the height of the high-end
The presentation of the Redmi K40 has been produced in the old way, with a large stage, lights, videos and a select invited audience. Shortly before the official presentation, some technical data and even the prices of all these devices had been leaked. Powerful family but with different processors
To form a complete family, several members are needed. In recent times we are attending separate presentations in time, but Redmi has wanted to unveil all the Redmi K40 at once. In this way, we have the Redmi K40, the Redmi K40 Pro and the Redmi K40 Pro +. There are substantial differences at the processor level, as the standard Redmi K40 integrates variants with the Snapdragon 870 or the Dimensity 1200 from MediaTek, while the K40 Pro and K40 Pro Plus show off the Snapdragon 888.
Redmi K40 features
The standard device that gives its name to the family integrates the Snapdragon 870 , which is a lower step than the Snapdragon 888. However, Xiaomi has made it clear that this difference is not very large, being close to the Snapdragon 888 itself or the Exynos 2100. In AnTuTu tests, the Redmi K40 has exceeded 691,000 points.
This is a design reminiscent of the Mi 11 on the back, with a longer camera module but that undoubtedly inherits from its first the Mi 11. In addition, Remi boasts thickness with its 7.8 millimeters. Its screen has a size of 6.67 inches with AMOLED technology and once again, boasting a tiny hole in the screen, of only 2.76mm to house the selfie camera and only 33mm of lower frame.
The Redmi K40 has an E4 panel manufactured by Samsung that offers a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and eye protection efficiency. Of course, the protection of Gorilla Glass and technologies such as HDR + are not lacking. This display also has a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 360 Hz touch sampling rate, one of the most advanced in the industry and whose main objective is to improve the gaming experience, which is complemented by its stereo speakers. In fact, the device comes with various gaming accessories such as triggers or a rear cooler to enhance the gaming experience.
In the cameras section, we find a triple arrangement with a 48 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel wide-angle sensor and a third 5 megapixel macro sensor. The company has also highlighted its 4,520 mAh battery with a 33W charge that allows 100% charge in just 52 minutes. These terminals share almost everything seen in the standard Redmi K40, but as we have said they raise the processor step, integrating the powerful Snapdragon 888. In addition, the Redmi K40 Pro raises the ante with more premium finishes. In this case, your camera is also up to 64 megapixels, maintaining the same 8 megapixel wide angle and 8 megapixel macro sensors. The Redmi K40 Pro +, meanwhile, raises the bar to 108 megapixels and boasts Samsung’s previously leaked HM2 sensor. Their prices are as follows:

When it comes to its Chinese presentation, Xiaomi has not offered data on its possible arrival in other markets.
