Our phones have evolved a lot in recent years to make navigating through their menus a breeze. In the case of Android 10 we have gone from the traditional three buttons to one-button navigation systems. The latter are now the most popular, and we can adapt it to our needs even with a simple adjustment.
Each layer of the manufacturers already has practically a navigation mode with its own button. These modes allow us to move around the phone with different gestures simply and quickly. In addition Android 10 has a native mode, in which we can use an adjustment to make the experience somewhat closer to our needs.
Improve navigation with a button
It is not the first time that we talk about these navigation modes with a button or bar. But in this case we focus on the native mode of navigation with an Android 10 button . This as you know is made up of a horizontal bar at the bottom and dispenses with the classic Android buttons. With an upward gesture we go to the beginning from any app, and with these sliding on the sides we can move between the different apps.
Within these one-button navigation settings, you can edit a setting that makes it easy to flip back within an application. This gesture is usually carried out by sliding your finger from the right side edge to the left. And maybe you have not noticed it, but you can change the sensitivity of this gesture, so that it adapts to the way we use the apps and especially to the way we slide our fingers on the screen.
Edit the sensitivity of gestures
Yes, there is the possibility to edit the sensitivity of this Android 10 setting. Since within the gesture navigation menu we can access a “back” gesture sensitivity setting that is more important than it seems. Here we have four sensitivity settings, with the ends low and high. The higher the sensitivity, the less finger slipping we will need to be able to go back in an application. The less sensitive the adjustment is, the more travel we will need to be able to go back in an app.
Sometimes it seems that the difference in sensitivity is imperceptible, but with use we become aware of the difference between them. Therefore, it is best to try the four existing sensitivity settings to suit your preferences. As we are warned from the operating system itself, choosing too high a sensitivity can make it difficult to use some applications. By default the system uses the second lowest level of sensitivity.
