Performance
When face the specifications of the iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 7 Plus, there are almost no differences. Of course, the most visible one has to do with size. The iPhone 7 is smaller with a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen.
Both devices are powered by Apple’s A10 Fusion chip, a 64-bit architecture the company says is 40 percent faster than the A9 on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Apple says it is 120 times faster than the original iPhone.
Both computers have a quad-core processor. The two cores are for high-performance actions, and both models are designed for tasks where efficiency is more important.
So checking your email, for example, will likely be powered by high-efficiency cores, which will save battery power.
Graphics performance is up to 50 percent faster than that of the A9, according to Apple. Performance is a link between iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and the same goes for internal storage options – both devices come with 32, 128, and 256 GB options. The duo also features stereo speakers, making them equal in audio output as well.
The iPhone 7 has 2 GB of RAM, but the Plus model has 3 GB. That gives the latter a slight advantage.
Battery life is better on iPhone 7 Plus because its larger size can accommodate a slightly larger package.
Winner: iPhone 7 Plus
Design and Durability

The general design of both is similar to that of the iPhone 6. Apple has opted for a “seamless” design that further combines the glass on the front and back and that is partly due to a relocation of the bands on the upper edges. and lower of the devices.
The buttons are in the same place, but the start button is no longer one. The start button is Force Touch and it acts like the Force Touch of the Macbook Pro: you will feel a vibration every time you push it down.
On the camera, which still sticks out a bit, you’ll find the main design difference between the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus (aside from the size). The 7 Plus has a dual camera system, while the 7 only has a single rear camera.
The rear camera setup of the iPhone 7 Plus looks somewhat similar to that of the LG G5, which also uses a dual-camera setup.
Furthermore, both models come in rose gold, gold, silver, black, and a high-gloss black variant.
In the latter case, and due to its high gloss, it is the only color option in which Apple recommends a case or shell, because it is a more scratch-prone model.
However, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are IP67, which means they are waterproof and dustproof. You can put them in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes, although the intention of this rating is rather to protect the device from small accidents that have to do with water.

Screen

The 4.7-inch iPhone has a resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels (326 dpi) – just like the iPhone 6S. The 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus has a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (401 dpi), just like the 6S Plus.
The Retina HD LED displays on both devices are 25 percent brighter than the previous model and display a wider color gamut. So the comparison here really comes down to size. If you want a bigger screen, you will have to opt for the iPhone 7 Plus. But if you want a smaller one, the iPhone 7 is the smartphone you’re looking for.
Winner: iPhone 7 Plus
Camera

In round of iPhone vs. iPhone 7 Plus, the largest variant wins easily. The iPhone 7 Plus is the phone that you must choose if you want a better photographic experience and that is due to its dual camera system.
That does not mean that the iPhone 7 camera is not good. The 12-megapixel rear camera features a 28mm wide-angle lens with an f / 1.8 aperture. It is 60% faster than the 6S camera, while it is also 30% more energy efficient.
Even the True Tone flash has got an update that offers up to 50% more light.
Cameras can identify faces and bodies, and they also offer extensive color capture. It even supports the RAW image format, giving you more control when editing photos. The front camera has an f / 2.2 aperture and features 7 megapixels. It has automatic image stabilization, while the rear is optically stabilized.
In addition to all this, the iPhone 7 Plus has a 12-megapixel rear camera. The second camera on the back is a 56mm telephoto lens with an f / 2.8 aperture. Essentially it will allow you to zoom in images, up to 10 times, with spectacular clarity and quality. However, optical zoom is used up to the 2x mark. Anything higher is the digital zoom.
There’s also an exciting feature that comes through a software update. Use the dual lens and some repair programs to recognize the subject in a photo and blur the background. It offers more depth to the images and can be activated or deactivated.
And you can also see a live preview before taking a photo. The iPhone 7’s camera is just great. But if you have to choose between the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and photography is important to you, then we recommend the iPhone 7 Plus better.
Winner: iPhone 7 Plus
Software and updates

Both models were released to the market with iOS 10, but have since been updated and we hope they will continue to receive updates for a longer time. The software experience is identical, apart from the larger screen on the iPhone 7 Plus and some additional options in the camera app.

Price
The iPhone 7 is around $ 250 for the 32GB model, while the iPhone 7 Plus is close to $ 500. Although Apple no longer offers any iPhone 7 models, if you want one, you’ll find them in some retail stores, such as Amazon and Best Buy, and in the thriving second-hand sales market.
Overall Winner: iPhone 7 Plus
It really comes down to size and camera preference. If you want a compact phone, iPhone 7 is cheaper and offers a great camera experience.
If you’re a photographer, chances are you want to take advantage of the iPhone 7 Plus’s dual camera setup. This really dazzled us at Apple’s iPhone launch event in San Francisco. The extra hour of battery life and 1 GB of additional RAM are also great advantages.
But of course if you want a smaller screen the iPhone 7 is still the best option. Otherwise, the iPhone 7 Plus is superior.
