After months of rumors, we can finally shape iOS 15 . The new operating system has been created in the middle of a global pandemic and it shows, because it is located above all in the possibility of sharing content.
There are no major improvements regarding the design of the phone but there are some hidden functions in the iPhone system apps that will make you want to install the operating system as soon as its first beta is available, which is expected within a few minutes.
The improvements of iOS 15 for your iPhone
The WWDC has begun reporting all the news of iOS 15, which anticipates that there will not be many. This is all that will arrive on your phone in the next few days (or months, if you choose to wait for the arrival in September of the final version of the system).
- FaceTime : Now improves the sound of video calls with a special algorithm dedicated to noise reduction (Wide Spectrum). As for video, the mosaic mode is presented for group calls and a portrait mode during conversations. Links are also allowed to invite a call and schedule them from the calendar. A function similar to what we have already seen in Teams and Zoom.
Share Play will allow you to share talks to enjoy content together, allowing you to synchronize screens. This tool is compatible with apps like TikTok, Disney Plus or HBO (Max).
- Messages: iOS 15 collects all messages pending viewing so that you can refer to them later.
- Notifications : Larger icons for apps, organization by importance (Summary of notifications) depending on whether they are personal, work or you are in do not disturb mode, although you can create your own modes with Focus . (You can even know the state that has activated who you are writing to)
- AI tools : Recognition of images with the camera, in the purest Google Lens style to find additional information. You can also identify text in an image to pass it to a text document. Another novelty is that photo search options are added in Spotlight … as in Google Photos.
- Photos : Improvements in the creation of stories with our photos and videos from shared albums, much more intuitive and that we can now synchronize with photos from Apple Music
- Apple Wallet : It will allow you to carry the keys of the house, of cars as long as they are cards … even the DNI or the driver’s license. All this securely encrypted.
- Weather : Complete redesign of the app with data and plans that change based on weather conditions. Possibility of viewing maps in full screen and in high resolution.
- Apple Maps : Now it is easier to use because it has been built from scratch. Spain is one of the first countries to enjoy them from today. Its 3D plan, inspired by a “Monument Valley” art, has a greater attention to detail, even showing bike lanes. Augmented Reality is inherited from Google Maps, but at the moment it is only available in a few American regions.

How do I install the iOS 15 beta?
If what you want is to install the beta of iOS 15 in any of the models that we have just mentioned, it is not that the process is too different from what we have experienced in recent years. To be able to try all the new features of the software, the first thing is to have a developer account or a device registered as a developer, although we always recommend waiting for the public beta version to arrive, a version (apparently) free of serious errors.
- Access the Apple Developer Portal with your developer account from your iPhone, as long as it is compatible with the software. It will be activated in the next few hours.
- Download and install the Configuration profile on your phone.
- Go to Settings> General> Software update.
- Install the update once it becomes available.
