As usual, after several weeks of rumors and leaks, the new Huawei Nova 8 SE has been made official . This is an inexpensive device that has some very interesting elements, such as a powerful 66W fast charge or its 64 megapixel main camera.
It has been in China, where Huawei has unveiled the Nova 8 SE, as a solvent bet to finish defining the mid-range of 2020 . In addition, Huawei has changed its Kirin processor for MediaTek, offering two different chips but with 5G as the flag.
Its technical characteristics
Screen with integrated sensor
If we look at the Nova 8 SE head-on, we find a 6.53-inch FullHD + screen , with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. Something that denotes that we are facing a mid-range terminal is that it shows a notch, instead of a hole, to house the front sensor. The good news is that the screen integrates an optical fingerprint sensor, something that is gradually reaching devices in a lower price range, ceasing to be something exclusive to the high range.
MediaTek by flag
Under the hood we find the MediaTek seal in two different options but equipped with 5G. One of the variants integrates the Dimensity 720, while the other bets on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U. Both versions are accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which cannot be expanded by expansion cards.
They lead the 64 megapixels
In the cameras section, it sports a quadruple rear configuration , with a 64 megapixel main sensor , with f / 1.9 aperture, accompanied by an 8 megapixel f / 2.4 ultra wide angle lens, and two macro and depth sensors of 2 megapixels each. The terminal has a 10x digital zoom and can record videos in 4K resolution. On its front and housed in the aforementioned drop-shaped notch, we find a 16 megapixel selfie sensor with f / 2.0 aperture
66W load
In terms of connections, we have already talked about its compatibility options with 4G or 5G networks, but it also has Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and USB Type-C. Its battery remains at 3,800 mAh, which may seem somewhat scarce, but it offers a great capacity for fast charging thanks to its 66W. According to the data provided by Huawei, the Nova 8 SE can be charged up to 60% in 15 minutes and 100% in 35 minutes. The terminal goes on the market with EMUI 10.1 and as expected, once again without Google Services.
Price and date of sale
The Huawei Nova 8 SE is already on sale in China in black, white, blue and silver. Its price has been set at 2,599 yuan (about 330 euros) for the variant with Dimensity 720, and at 2,699 yuan (about 345 euros) for the version with the Dimensity 800U. At the moment we do not know the possible international marketing plans for this device, or if in case of landing, it would do so with this or one of the usual names of Huawei.
