Among the different terminals that Huawei offers in its portfolio, several that stand out as some of the best options in the mid-range of 2019 stand out. Today we wanted to highlight two of the best, such as the Huawei P30 Lite and the Nova 5T , to see the main differences between the two and the advantages of one over another.
Before proceeding, something important must be taken into account. Between the two devices there are several months of difference, since the P30 Lite was released at the beginning of 2019 while the Nova 5T did the same at the end of the year. This means that although we are facing two mid-range, the Nova 5T has certain advantages in key technical aspects . For its part, the P30 Lite has the advantage of the passage of time in terms of the decrease in its price compared to the original cost.

Screen and dimensions
If we take into account the screens of both terminals, we see that the P30 Lite is a somewhat more compact device with its 6.15 inches, while the Nova 5T reaches 6.26 inches. Both terminals have FullHD + resolution, but the density of pixels per inch is slightly higher in the P30 Lite.
Regarding the screen, an important difference is found in the design, since the P30 Lite sports the classic “notch” in the form of a drop, while the Nova 5T boasts a hole in the screen to try to take better advantage of the ratio of screen. The prize for the featherweight is taken by the P30 Lite with its 7.4 millimeters thick and only 159 grams in weight. In this sense, the Nova 5T reaches 7.8 millimeters and weighs 174 grams.
Processor and memory
When we raise the hood on both phones we see that they play in different leagues. The Huawei P30 Lite integrates the Kirin 710, a compliant chip but part of the company’s mid-range processors. The Nova 5T mounts the almighty Kirin 980, the brain of the best high-end 2018 of the firm like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. In addition, the P30 Lite has only 4 GB of RAM, while the Nova 5T offers versions with 6 and Up to 8 GB of RAM.
The storage memory is 128 GB in both cases, but only the P30 Lite has the option to expand it using microSD cards, which gives it a certain advantage and vital attribute for many users.
Cameras
In the cameras section, we see that the Huawei P30 Lite sports a triple rear camera, with 48 megapixel main sensor and wide angle and depth sensors. The Nova 5T has four cameras, since in addition to the same main sensor of 48 megapixels and its wide-angle and depth sensors, it adds a fourth macro sensor for nearby shots. The front camera is 24 megapixels on the P30 Lite and 32 megapixels on the Nova 5T.
Battery and charge
Both have the main connections including NFC, and fingerprint sensor. In the case of the P30 Lite, it is located in the rear while the Nova 5T has it on the side. We also see that the battery of the P30 Lite is somewhat scarcer with its 3,340 mAh compared to the 3,700 mAh of the Nova 5T. Both batteries have fast charging technology, being 18W in the P30 Lite and 25W in the Nova 5T.
Price and conclusion
When we take a look at the prices we see that the P30 Lite can be purchased right now for 209 euros, a price that has decreased since the 349 it initially cost when it went on sale. The Nova 5T can be ours for about 325 euros, which is a difference of 116 compared to the price of the P30 Lite. There are many technical differences between the two in favor of the Nova 5T, but if the user does not require much technical demand, it is very possible that with the P30 Lite at a better price that he never has more than enough.
